Expect a wait in season and on weekends. And you wait by the honor system. It is a small place. It looks like a diner but you can expect things like prime rib or crab cakes or salmon among the specials. A bit of home cooking with a touch of fine dining. Been there for lunch and dinner. Love the salad with brie and cranberry for lunch. Dinner time usually has a pretty good selection of specials. The comfort food is always homestyle but surprisingly the more upscale items are done in a restaurant quality. Seafood is far better than any diner. And the cost is very reasonable. Cakes and pies are first rate.

The food here is not at all what you'd expect from this hidden treasure! It is located a bit off the beaten track, but locals sure know where it is!! The friendly, cozy atmosphere is like eating in your home kitchen. The staff is very attentive and extremely helpful & friendly. The chefs are top notch!! The homemade entrees and deserts are just delicious! It is a BYOB which allows guests to enjoy their favorite libations.
Cook's serves 3 meals a day, so anytime you're in the Poconos you can enjoy tasty, delicious, homemade fare!

It was ok, the restaurant is small inside not very much seating. The breakfast was average, don't get the homefries they are bland unless you get onions in it. I had better breakfast at other places, the service was good though.

This old fashioned restaurant has better than average menu selections at reasonable prices. The food was delicious, spinach salad with chopped apple and nut crusted brie for me, crab cakes for my husband and sandwiches for the teenagers. Everyone was friendly and service was good. When it came time for dessert, we were invited to come up t the 'fridge and have a look. There was cake with peanut butter frosting, chocolate lasagna and crushed oreo cheescake as well as other homemade cakes and pies. This place was soooo much better than the chain or tourist restaurants.
