“Love the meat pies!”
Reviewed March 4, 2014

Braveheart is a great place to go for drinks and munchies, but I love their meat pies too. Total comfort food, sometimes I order it as take-out when I've had a bad day. Their meat pie with gravy, mashed potatoes and peas always make me feel better!

“the best sticky pudding---it beats Martha Stewart”
Reviewed January 31, 2014

We drive to the Poconos every year in the fall from Myrtle Beach, SC and we make a point to drive down from the Poconos to The Braveheart in Hellertown for the Sticky Toffee Pudding! This year the salad was great, the seafood special was fixed perfectly and the dessert was so good we ordered an extra STP to go The waitress made us feel special with great service

“Should not have gotten the burger.”
Reviewed January 2, 2014

Based upon local opinions and TA reviews, I chose Braveheart for dinner last week. I overlooked the Irish food and went for the burger.

In some restaurants, it is better to ask the waitress how the chef is going to cook your burger, rather than asking it to be cooked the way you like it to be. This was one of them. A medium rare burger arrived cooked to death – dry and mostly flavorless. Shame on them.

Perhaps when I return to Hellertown I will try the Irish food but the burgers are off limits for me.

“Nice selection of draft beers”
Reviewed November 18, 2013

Have been to the Braveheart several times over the years and the service has improved, making a big positive difference, for me. Scottish fare is good and their 'Chef's seafood of the day' is always a treat. During popular crowd times-it gets noisy, but great spot for a casual meal, quality beers, and perhaps watch a game.
Draft beer selection includes: Sam Adams Seasonal, Boddington's Angry Orchard Cider, Guinness, Smithwick's, Harp, Belhaven, Victory Seasonal, Young's Double chocolate stout, Magic Hat, Weyerbacher Seasonal, Tennent's Scottish Lager, Yuengling, Fuller's ESB and Leinenkugel.
