I can't even tell you how wonderful the staff and the accommodations at this hotel were. My boyfriend and I wanted a nice, quiet, clean getaway for the weekend, and that's exactly what we received. The hotel and lobby were immaculate; the staff was amazingly friendly and helpful; and we never heard a peep from the other guests, other than friendly good mornings and dining suggestions. The desk staff and the cleaning personnel were so kind and went far out of their way to accommodate us. No wonder this is an award winning hotel! We plan to make this a regular retreat.
My only "complaint," if you could call it that, is that Hazelton is not that big, and there are limited things to do within a 45 minute drive. Had we planned on further travel, we would have been more willing to do so. But that is the nature of the Poconos and has nothing to do with the quality of our stay.
PS. We even received a thank you card when we got home...how awesome is that?

just Absolutely awesome hotel, was Squeaky clean, had THE MOST comfy hotel bed husband and I had ever slept in. Lots of extra pillows and towels, Had DVD's in office for in room viewing for free. Breakfast was great...All staff was nice and friendly, even housekeepers in the halls, We even stayed an extra night on our way home because it was so relaxing!!!!!!!

I just can't say enough good things about this hotel, i even wrote them a letter after i returned home to say how impressed with the service I was...

We stay here every year in conjunction with a family reunion and this hotel might just be the highlight of the trip! We enjoy having breakfast together in the morning, sitting by the fireplace in the afternoon enjoying freshly baked cookies and a cup of coffee, or enjoying an evening swim. The staff is fantastic, the rooms are great (the suite is worth the price if you have a child with you), and it is an all-around wonderful experience.

This was a great place to stay. Staff was friendly and very helpful. We all loved the beds, comfy mattresses, soft sheets and none of those tacky slippery bedspreads. Breakfast had both hot and cold items. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel should be written up in hotel management journals to explain to others how to deliver top quality service, lovely accommodations, and nice common areas at fair prices. The front desk staff knows how to make people feel welcome and they provided us with everything we could have asked for during a one-night stay last week. The room was new with interesting furniture in bright colors, not the typical hotel green or tan. The design of the room was not typical of chain motels and the sitting area had great built-in's as well as a very large t.v. and separate DVD player, which was perfect for watching the free DVD's provided at the front desk from a very complete list of recent releases. They even gave us free popcorn to have with the free movies! (The small in-room microwave required careful attention to the popcorn to avoid burning.) The beds and linens were clean and fresh and seemed new. The only tiny complaint was an under-powered hair dryer, but otherwise, we were completely satisfied with the room and thrilled with the service. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices, including hot and cold food and a very friendly service person. If you have a choice, stay here (even if it costs a bit more....it is worth every penny.). Damon's restaurant is conveniently located across the parking lot and fine if you like very large screen t.v's (3 huge screens with all booths turned to face them), burgers and beer, but avoid the salads or more elaborate dishes.
