This is one of the most beautiful Bed & Breakfast Inn's we have ever stayed at. A must for anyone going to the Pocono Mts. The Inn is small and the staff is just great. There has never been a time when our stay was less than excellent

Room Tip: Room 101 has access to the outside

One of the best getaways we have had- low key but pampered just the way we like it. Lovely and spacious rooms, very responsive staff, and superb food at all meals. It felt like a real bargain for all that we got. Just wish it were a little closer to activities but that itself may be the secret to its charm.

A perfect wedding anniversary.

My wife and I stayed from Tuesday-Friday the week before Memorial Day weekend and needed a peaceful getaway to come down off of four intense months of work. Settler's was exactly what we needed.

We were first greeted by the lovely staff (John specifically) and after a quick admiration of the shared space (which always seems to smell like a fire just went out, but we never saw a fire), we were taken to our gorgeous room. Don't get me started on how comfortable the bed is...it's incredible. Cheese and crackers await your return every afternoon. We ate every meal at the restaurant downstairs, not only because it's extremely convenient and well priced, but because it's absolutely delicious!!

From reading in their garden to running to the lake, Hawley and Settler's Inn is the perfect getaway!

My wife and I stayed the weekend for our anniversary vacation. We were instantly welcomed upon arrival and shown to our room, which was absolutely stunning. The photos on the website did not do the room justice. We were looking for a quiet place to enjoy a relaxing weekend together and we could not have found a better spot.

Staff: The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. We originally had reservations for dinner both nights but we decided to switch our second night. The woman at the front desk handled canceling our original reservation and called in our reservation at their sister hotel across town. My only negative was that our room was right near the housekeeping lounge and in the middle of the day it got a little loud, even through the closed door. But all in all, the staff could not have been more pleasant.

Food: We had dinner at the restaurant our first night and for our second night we switched to the Ledges Hotel, the Inn's sister location. While the themes for each restaurant were quite different, both locations were beautiful and the food was superb. Service at both locations was good and any questions we had regarding the menu were quickly answered. My wife and I don't drink, but the sommelier at the Inn seemed very knowledgable about wine pairings suggested to other tables.

Location: Hawley is a little out of the way, but that was exactly what we were looking for. The drive in was pleasant and the town fits the ambiance of the building perfectly. We stayed in room 212, which was absolutely perfect. The queen bed and love seat provided plenty of seating during the day and the giant jacuzzi tub was big enough for 4. The room was well lit with and without natural lighting and the colors helped to create a nice and relaxing tone. I had read other suggestions on here about staying on the garden-side of the building, but unless we came at low-point in traffic, I don't think it would have mattered. We checked in early in the afternoon so most of the other rooms were open still and in looking around the hall, we would have been happy in any of the rooms. They were all beautifully decorated and each had a unique feel to them. The only damper on the room selection was that 212 is directly above the kitchen, so there tended to be a good bit of noise during and after dinner service as the kitchen was prepping, cooking, and then cleaning. I think most of the noise stopped around 9:30-10pm. Depending on what your doing, it could be a distraction, but honestly we hardly noticed it after the first few minutes.

Overall: We couldn't have been happier with the outcome of our getaway. We wanted a low-key, relaxing time and that's exactly what we got. The accommodations were great and the staff helped to make sure our needs were met. We were well fed and still had plenty of opportunities to lounge around and enjoy the room. I highly recommend.

Room Tip: Room 212 is over the kitchen and could be slightly noisier, but easily ignorable and well worth the...

We had a wonderful stay here a few weekends ago but found a major discrepancy in their written pet policy. Since we're highly allergic to pets, we appreciated the all their email confirmations stated "No Pets Are Permitted". Although while we were there, a couple checked in with their dog.
And, we also found out from one of the staff that there is a 'house dog' on the premises. After we came back home a few weeks ago, we sent an email to the Settlers Inn and have yet to hear back from them. So, if you're highly allergic, we can't recommend it.

Apologies for the delay in response to your comments about the pet policy. We recently changed our policy to accommodate dogs in one room on the first floor that has an outiside entrance to enable the pet to access the room from the parking lot. We will update our materials to include that information. The demand for pets is much higher than we can accommodate so we only want to accept pets as we able. Yes, we do have a ten pound Bishon house dog that is sometimes onsite at the inn but not always and he is the type of dog often considered hypoallergenic. We do need to be mindful of people with allergies and we will change our communication materials right away. Thank you kindly for bringing this to our attention.

Excellent food and staff. The rooms were all decorated differently and very clean. Lisa the waitress could use a lesson in manners, but Lisa at the front desk was professional and friendly and made up for the other. Beautiful location but a bit out of the way, with not much to do unless you're into hiking, but very relaxing. I would definitely return!!!

Stayed there a night for our anniversary. We chose Settlers Inn due to the trip advisor reviews and couldn't have been more pleased. The facility was nice and the rooms (each one unique) were charming and comfortable. The best part was the service. Everyone across the board was incredibly friendly throughout this stay. They made our stay a great one. We will definitely be back.
