We got engaged here in 2008 and have been back ever since . We stay every year for our anniversary . We just love the rooms, food and staff that go out of there way to make your stay pleasant.

It's just the type of,place that's not to far or to close to just get away from it all.

Room Tip: They have jacuzzi rooms.

Stayed here in April of 2013. The staff are wonderful and go out of their way to help make your stay as comfortable as possible. The inn is charming and the rooms are clean and very beautifully decorated in the arts and crafts style. The food both at breakfast and dinner was way above average. A lot of the food was local and very fresh. We loved sitting by the fire in the living room off the entry. It was a great place to read and relax. Will definitely return!

Room Tip: We were told that rooms that face the back are quieter. Noise in any part of the inn did not seem t...

Loved our room and the lobby with the huge fireplace. We were in room #209. No problems with road noise but we were there during the low season. Very clean rooms. Loved the decor. Really enjoyed the breakfast which was included in our room rate. Checked out there other hotel "ledges". Not far from Settlers. Very cool. Right on the ledge of a stream. Great bar/restaurant with all windows looking out over the stream/ falls. Would definitely stay at Settlers Inn again.

Pros:

After searching and planning for weeks to run away to the sunny seaside of Florida, we wound up stumbling across this quaint, clean , quiet B&B nestled in the hills of the Pocono's on line. Who would have thought it could have offered the rejuvenation that we needed. But our stay w/package (2day winters rejuvenation) included 2/60 min massages, absolutely incredible breakfasts and 3 course dinner, and a chance to relax in the comfort of an old fashioned B&B complete with great personalized service. Needless to say, our experience was more than satisfactory. The best part, when compared to other offers found on the web (and trust me I searched them out), this one offered one of the best deals for the price. Would definitely visit again and spread the word.

Con:

Our selected room was suppose to come w/flat screen tv and chocolates. instead it came with 18" tv and cheese/crackers to my disappointment. :(

Room Tip: Had room 303.

We had a wonderful stay at The Settlers Inn. The room was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food served at breakfast and dinner was delicious. The wine tasting 4 course meal was wonderful and reasonably priced. There is a definite attention to detail by the owners and staff.

A recommendation and visit to Settlers Inn convinced us that this would be a great place for our daughter's wedding. Jeanne is wonderful to talk to and make arrangements, her staff is very accomodating and have been helpful with all aspects of the big day. We had a winter lunch there to sample the offerings and it was a wonderful selection of soups, winter vegetables, and delicious salads. There is a gift shop in the garden shed in the back that is worth the 3 minute walk. We were able to check out the rooms at the Inn so we know where we will be staying for the wedding. Can't wait!

We have just returned from a wonderful, relaxing time at the Settlers Inn in Hawley, PA. There was not one part of our stay at the Inn that I would want to have changed. The staff was so accommodating and pleasant and could not do enough to make our stay comfortable. The Inn itself was GORGEOUS - rustic and warm with lots of wood and a huge open fireplace with a crackling fire in the hearth to take the chill off from being outside. The room is decorated with comfortable sofas and chairs, as well as two inviting game tables - one with a chess set and one with a Scrabble game, both set up and asking to be played. There is a really nice, small bar off the main room where the fireplace is. Our room - Room 202 - was PERFECT in every way, from the comfy bed complete with a featherbed to the two person Jacuzzi, which we made full use of both nights of our stay. How wonderful it was to return to our room after a long day of exploring, followed by a delicious dinner from the dining room downstairs, and then to relax, talk and unwind in the inviting Jacuzzi tub. There is also a separate, freestanding shower stall in the bathroom. The food in the restaurant was amazing - very fresh, skillfully and creatively prepared. Our first night my boyfriend ordered the Salmon with pesto - two flavors that he would not normally have thought of together - and yet he said it was amazing. The second night we both ordered the Prime Rib which was a special for the night and we were not disappointed - it melted in your mouth and was cooked to perfection. Both days our breakfasts were unique and flavorful with creative choices. The Birdseed bread was a special treat - it was served warm and was delicious. I cannot say enough about the beautiful Settlers Inn and I cannot wait to stay there again!

Room Tip: I would recommend a deluxe queen room so that you have the benefit of the Jacuzzi tub. Regular rooms...
