“Family Weekend”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 12, 2013

For the 3rd year in a row, we had a family weekend at Woodloch. So much fun. So little time. The friendliness of the staff and the variety of organized activities is outstanding! Our kids, 7 & 10, had a blast. We are looking forward to next year already.

Woodloch Pines is a down to earth family resort that caters to all. From the time you drive up to the time you leave, you are always greeted with a smile and a hello. The resort is CLEAN, from your room to the dining room to the children’s play are either at the main lodge or the tree house, there is someone always cleaning. Don’t bother to bring snacks, Woodloch feeds you, like your Grandmother does. There is something for everyone, even the finicky of eaters-kids. A bit pricey, but worth every cent.

Room Tip: Springbrook nice big rooms with a separate living room/TV area and is connected to the Pool facility...

Dear Ralph B,

We appreciate your review. Our Housekeeping staff takes great pride in the job they do on a daily basis, and it definitely shows when you enter our resort. Every accommodation is meticulously cleaned up to our high standards in preparation of our incoming guests, and Housekeeping is constantly monitoring any public areas to make sure those are immaculate as well. As far as our meals go, we want every guest to be completely satisfied afterwards, much like you would be at Grandmother's house! We hope to see you again in the near future!

We take a trip as a family every year. We Love Woodloch. It is a great resort with great (but too much) food, fun activities, entertainment for all ages and what I would call great comfortable rooms, surrounded by beautiful views and caring and engaged staff.
They added some activities this winter; the staff was as great as usual. Keeping everyone engaged and smiling. It was great that mother nature gave us cold weather this winter and we were able to enjoy some time on the frozen lake.
The rooms are large and comfortable. Would rate the beds and linen very high.
Food plentiful as usual, I did notice some new dishes that were on the healthier side this year which were a nice touch!
Through the food, staff, and accommodations, and activities Woodloch is a place where families can come, be entertained, have FUN and create their own traditions and share in the traditions Woodloch has in place.
Woodloch prides themselves in hospitality and it shines through year after year.
Cannot wait for the Winter 2014 trip :)

Dear andrew m,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with others. Here at Woodloch, we are always looking for new things to offer our guests to keep them coming back year after year. This includes changes to our bedding, changes to our menu, and changes to our daily offerings of activities. Spending time with familiy and friends is extremely important, and we are happy to provide a place to do so away from the daily stress of life. Can't wait to see you next year!

If you've never been to Woodloch, you don't know what you're missing. In terms of family resorts, this is the best one you'll ever go to. From the food to the activities to the warm hospitality exhibited by every single staff member, you will be amazed at how amazing this place is. Winter, summer, spring or fall...doesn't matter. Woodloch has something for everyone. The social activities director (Joey) is the most energetic person I've ever met. His sons work there too and are equally as fun as their dad. And the bar/wait staff, especially in the Sports Bar (I'm talking about you, Justin, Wes, & Dan,) are top notch!!

Room Tip: Springbrook and Mountain Laurel are the nicest rooms that sleep the most people. But if you want th...

We went on Februray 1,2 & 3, 2013. Although the tempratures were very cold, we had a great time. We went with the Girl Scouts they even had patches for the girls. The evening activities were great for all ages. We spent Friday night dancing with the DJ's in the Sports Bar. The DJ's were fantastic with the kids. Taught everyone all different dances. There was also a pocket book scavenger hunt and they handed out numerous prizes. Saturday morning we participated in the Family Winter Olympic Games. The staff has tremendous energy and enthusiasum making it fun for all ages! Scoring is done in a very fair way allowing everyone an opportunity to win. Winners recieve Gold, Silver or Bronze medals for the entire team. Saturday afternoon the kids and adults signed up for the Gingerbread Wars. A competition full of family fun using creative juices to create a unique Gingerbread creation using specific items. Again giving teams an ability to win a medal. Saturday night's entertainment was very good!! The music of "The Company" was really good and enjoyed by all ages. The best was the show "All Things Italian" it was really entertaining. We were surprised that the staff who ran the afternoon Olympic Games was up on stage and extremely talented. I think we were all a little star struck! Sunday morning the girls had fun with a very competitive scavenger hunt. We later found out that if you can go on line before your vacation to check out their website www.woodlochtheedge.com where you can get hints on upcoming events and scavenger hunts. The website also posts pictures that they take during your stay. Woodloch is a family run buisness that celebrated their 55 year while we were there. The owner is present at all of the meals and the staff is always checking in to be sure that you are enjoying your stay. The food is was plentiful and delicious. The wait staff was readily available and all of the staff were friendly and pleasent. Our waitress Dawn was especially nice. The rooms were quite comfortable and clean. We had a room with two double beds and an additional room with a roll away bed also two couches and a table and chair as well as a bathroom with a shower. By far the best part I thought that was different from other places that we have stayed in, was the walk in closet in both rooms. That made all of the difference in having clear space in the living area of the rooms. Every where in the resort there were places to sit in comfortable chairs and lots of cozy fire places. The temperature was warm even in the largest spaces. They even have a Christian Worship Service Sunday morning after breakfast. The last conveinence I want to mention was the shuttle service, very handy for everyone especially families with young children and older visiters too! I highly recommend staying here anytime of the year.

Room Tip: There are two large hotel areas. One is Spring Brook (building #2) which is where we stayed, the be...

Dear Mary F,

Thank you for taking the time to share your in-depth review. We are delighted that you and the Girl Scouts had a fabulous time and we hope you enjoy those custom Woodloch patches. From the look of it, you and the girls had a full and fun-filled weekend, which we know would not be possible without our great team members. Our staff is our greatest asset, and each and every one of them is determined to make your stay the best it can be. We sincerely hope to see you again in the future, and don't forget to collect more patches!

We have been vacationing at Woodloch since I was a child. Now my sons get to experience Woodloch with 3 generations. Woodloch has so much to offer for ages from childhood well into adulthood. Sit back and relax at the Spa, test you knowledge at a game or show your physical abilities at the Family Olympics. Whatever you choose, you will have many options to keep you and your entire family busy. Plus, the food is amazing and abundant. At Woodloch you feel as if you are part of their family. Just go once and you will be hooked for life.

Room Tip: It doesn't really matter where you stay, since you will not be spending much time in your room!

We stayed in a 2 bedroom home in the Springs. The home was really nice and super clean. Fully stocked kitchen and cozy fireplace. The grounds are well taken care of and beautiful. The service was amazing and super friendly. My kids enjoyed the attractions, especially the snow tubing. We had a wonderful time!

Room Tip: The homes in the Springs are great! We stayed in a beautiful Cedar home with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths.
