My husband and I recently spent three nights at East Shore Lodging in Hawley. The owners and staff make this place pleasant and bright, even if it was rainy much of the time we were there! We had room #11, the king suite on the second story. It was HUGE, with a large mini fridge, microwave, large sofa, chair with large ottoman, table and chairs in the living room. The king bedroom had another small table and chairs and sitting chair. Each room had a TV. Included are discounts to some local restaurants. And the location is great---directly across the road from the lake and the new(ish) walkway on the shore, and walking distance to the visitor center. This is not a new building, but the rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. There is more than enough to do in the area, even when the weather isn't the best! Other reviews have mentioned the gift shop, which is located in the entrance and breakfast area. It is well stocked and well priced. All in all, I highly recommend East Shore Lodging. I want to go back.

Room Tip: If you want lots of privacy and can afford it, the King suite on the second story can't be beat...

When I looked online they listed two night min stay, however I called and there was no problem booking a room for a single night last minute. We arrived early and the room was ready which was a terrific convenience. Our room was extremely clean, roomy enough for a second bed or crib if that is necessary, see photos. Staff was very friendly and gave recommendations for activities and restaurants in the area. Continental breakfast offered a nice selection of pastries, muffins, cereal, and toast-able items. We would definitely book here again.

Thank you for writing a review - we really appreciate it! Glad you were able to get a room for one-night. We typically have a 2 night minimum in-season but sometimes you can get a last minute room - especially a Friday night! Happy to hear you enjoyed the room, restaurants in the area, activities and breakfast. We look forward to seeing you again.

Spent a relaxing weekend here with friends. We each had a queen room. Very spacious, clean & comfortable. The bed was as comfortable as my own bed! We really appreciated various inclusions like the comfortable couch, coffee table, reading lamps, microwave & small fridge in our room. The casual cabin theme in Room C was just our style. A very short walk just across the road to Lake Wallenpaupack with a 1 1/2 mi. walking trail at the edge of the lake with multiple benches to enjoy the view. The staff was very friendly & helpful with suggestions & directions to various restaurants & stores. Continental breakfast was convenient & fresh. Some fruit would be a nice addition.

The only issue we had was that Room 9, our friend's room, had an unpleasant odor, which only got a bit better with an additional cleaning, fan turned on, windows opened & exhaust fan on high.

Room Tip: Room C was very spacious. Bed was extremely comfortable. Porch with 2 chairs & small table jus...

Thank you for taking the time to write a detailed review. Glad you liked Room C (Room 6), our location and breakfast. Sometimes if the rooms are not occupied, they can get a closed up smell to them - especially if the guests before microwaved something. We hope you come back and stay again!

We went to the Poconos for a long weekend to enjoy fall leaves and spend some time near the lake. We were so pleasantly impressed with all of it. The view, the paying attention to detail, the gift shop, the great balance between modern and kind of a country/nautical theme. It is very clean and the owners are super helpful. Room 1 was wonderful. I am recommending it and we would return there.

Room Tip: The views from Room 1 were great. Comfortable chairs, bed was a bit too firm for our taste

Thank you for staying with us! Room #1 is a favorite for our guests. They love overlooking the lake and the Fall is a beautiful time. We spend so much time finding the right mix of merchandise for the gift shop. Thank you for noticing and writing about it. It is helpful to hear feedback and know that guests like the mix. We look forward to seeing you in the future!

Recently spent a weekend at East Shore Lodging and hotel and room were very nice. The room, a queen bedroom, was very spacious and clean. It was very nicely decorated with little touches that fit with the local area. The staff were all very friendly and helpful with any questions about the area and its attractions. There was plenty of available pamphlet information about the area and attractions and each room had a folder with the local restaurants and their menus. The continental breakfast was small but nice offering a good little breakfast to those looking to save a little money. The hotel was directly across the street from lake Wallenpaupack which offered a nice walking path near the lake. A scenic boat tour was offered every hour from the hotel. It was very reasonably priced and the tour was good. It offered lots of information about the lake and historically. The hotel also offered private boat rentals at a reasonable hourly rate. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the Poconos. We had a great time and a great stay. Will definitely be looking to stay there again in future visits to the area.

Room Tip: we had room 8 which was very nicely decorated and the bed was not too soft and not too firm. each r...

Smiles all around from the staff at East Shore Lodging! Thank you for staying with us and for experiencing all that the Lake Region has to offer. The path is a relatively new feature for the area and we love when our guests venture out and explore. We hope to see you again during your next trip to Lake Wallenpaupack!

We decided to go to Lake Wallenpaupack this year for our Anniversary. After speaking with a friend originally from the area and checking trip advisor, we chose East Shore Lodging. It was the cleanest, largest, and most wonderfully decorated motel we've ever stayed in. We were there for 3 nights, we will probably stay longer the next time. The price was very reasonable, and the continental breakfast was nice. We could even eat in our room since we had a nice table and chairs. The view of the lake from our room and porch was awesome. Bridget, Steve, and all of the staff were so nice. They really did make you feel right at home. You can tell when the owners take pride in what they do, and customer service was there number one priority.

Room Tip: The room we stayed in, room 1, was closest to the road, had the best view, but could hear the traffi...

We recently spent a 3 night stay at East Shore Lodging and were very happy with our visit. We stayed in one of the Queen bed rooms. The room itself was clean, very large and beautifully decorated. Located directly across the street from Lake Wallenpaupack, the views from the porch were lovely. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We would most definitely stay here again!
