The dining room was casual with top-notch wait staff. The menu offered a variety of tempting yet healthy entrees. We loved that they use fresh local ingredients. Live piano music and excellent service made for a wonderfully relaxing dinner. Breakfast the next morning was another tasty treat. We loved the food and service.

We had dinner here and it was fantastic. The place exceeded my expectations, I really thought it was going to be another dated Poconos experience in a stodgy atmosphere - were we ever wrong.

We were greeted by the manager who over heard it was our anniversary, she right away brought us two glasses of champagne and a happy anniversary wish. We had a great meal - I highly recommend the Pork dish and the English toffee pudding.

There was music which was superb, not too loud and the piano man hit some sharp notes. We were so pleased we cannot wait to come back.

Thank you Settlers Inn for a great night.

The setting is beautiful, the building, interior and exterior is just what an old inn should be. But from the moment we entered, everything went down hill. There was confusion over where to sit, the server was sullen, mixed up our orders several times and blamed us, 2/3s of what was on the menu was not available and then we waited about an hour for the food, which was only mediocre at best. The chef came out and apologized, offered us complimentary desserts, and seemed very unhappy that things were as out of control as they were. Perhaps staff didn't show up that day? Perhaps someone got fired? There seemed to be a pall over everyone who worked there, so something was amiss. Hope they solve it as the place should be wonderful.

This past St. Patrick's my husband and I took a couple with us to Settlers St. Patrick's Night. We have been to Settlers before and love the ambiance and food and were anxious to share this with our friends. My girlfriend and I love Irish pubs and music and were looking forward to the evening. The Irish pub food was great! I had a terrific lamb stew; while the other three had the fish and chips. This was large, freshly fried pieces of fish with hand-cut steak fries. All was delicious. Our service was solicitous. The singer was terrific. The price is a little expensive for the area, but worth every penny. Can't wait to go again

Thank you for joining us for St. Patrick's Day. We really appreciate the feedback about the music and food. It was a new event for us this year and hopefully we can make it an annual event going forward.

My husband and I joined another couple for dinner on Saturday night. We were greeted and told where to hang our coats. We were seated on time for our six o'clock reservation at a lovely table by the window. The ambiance is nice but a little dark for my taste. We had to turn on our cell phones to read the check at the end of dinner! The food was good but not great. My husband's food was lukewarm at best. We have eaten at fine restaurants around the country and this has similar prices but not the level of service we have come to expect. It is a pretty property and near to where we live but probably will not return in the near future.
