After a wonderful experience at another Red Roof Inn (Denver, PA), we were highly disappointed. The young man at the front desk was rude and short with me when I asked why the price was different that my confirmation. He told me to initial then he would explain. Sorry, but I don't sign anything without an explanation! Our room was at the top of the stairs, so unfortunately we heard everyone coming and going. The room was cold with laminate flooring and sparse furniture. Not a "homey" feel at all. It would have been nice to have a comfy chair instead of having to sit on the beds. Forget the Wi-fi...I kept getting kicked off. There was no ice in the ice machine and we had no refrigerator which was inconvenient since we were staying more than one night. The bathroom was small and had no hair dryer. When I made the reservation, I thought there was a continental breakfast, but that was not the case. Parking was limited and not very well lit. When we went to check out, I tried handing my room keys to the front desk clerk. She pointed to a box on the counter and said, "In the box." I put the keys in the box but held onto the envelope. "The envelope, too!" she snapped. Needless to say, this was our first and LAST visit to this location.
