We dined with friends on Saturday, January 28th -- we had not been here for quite a while. While waiting for our friends, we enjoyed drinks at the bar. There was a good selection of wines by the glass and my husband found a single malt scotch that he hadn't tried before, which is hard to do in Harrisburg.
The calamari appetizer was the best dish we had. The veal medici was tasty but slightly overwhelmed by the bechamel sauce. That seemed generally to be the theme -- heavy on sauces. Salads were not included with the pasta dishes.
The bar staff was very friendly, but our waiter got a little overwhelmed when several tables were all seated at the same time. If you're looking for traditional Italian in Harrisburg, I think Sammy's is better and Mangia Qui is heads and shoulders above the rest.
