We were not impressed at all. While I support the idea of using local resources, I don't think they did a good job of presenting them. I'd much rather go to Official or Shakedown.

This place is beyond words, but I'll try to sum it up. Huge portions, locally sourced (when possible), impeccably prepared, great ambiance, reasonable prices, super helpful staff. I can't help but stuff my face whenever I go and I'm never disappointed. And I feel good about giving my son stuff from the kids menu although he's happy just eating off my plate too. Do yourself a favor and go here and try everything on the menu. Also, follow them on Instagram for some great food porn.

Location in small strip center near Linglestown, with plenty of parking, Smoke is easy to get to and worth the trip. Our foursome ordered items which were recommended in other reviews: fried chickpeas - really good, the more you ate the better they got; wings - smoked BBQ wings were as good as any I've ever had; pulled pork tacos - probably the best thing on the menu, awesome.

Also had a pork sandwich with coleslaw, and a BBQ beef sandwich. Both seemed dry in need of more sauce. I would recommend the tacos rather than the sandwich.

Smoke is BYOB, so that helps keep the cost reasonable. Our bill for 4 including tip was $70, which thought was reasonable. Service was very friendly.

I went with a few friends and we had the fried chickpea's, which were okay, and the bacon wrapped dates. I wasn't going to have one of the dates first, but gave in and I'm glad I did, they were so good! Sweet from the honey and date, savory from the bacon and tangy from the blue cheese. Awesome combination! I also had the Pulled Pork sandwich, the pork was really tender, almost melt in your mouth. The food is a bit pricey, but they do give you a generous amount of food.

We have visited Smoke BBQ many times since it opened a little over a year ago. Some of our favorites things about the restaurant, other than everyone's friendliness, is that the selection is a bit unusual, but not so odd as to intimidate, and that they offer a selection (not just one choice) of vegetarian food in addition to the meat dishes. We recently took friends (who own a restaurant) to Smoke for the first time. They were thrilled with everything. It reinforced our opinion of Smoke being a great place when friends in the same business were happy with everything.
