“Great place to book an event”
Reviewed December 15, 2012

I needed to host a dinner for a group my organization is doing business with. I checked the place out over lunch and found that a private room was the only way to have some control over the noise. They have a nice room in the back one the second floor that holds 15 but when my group grew to 24 we ended up booking the 3rd floor room and fortunately had it all to ourselves. They played some nice background music for us and the setting was perfect. The food was fabulous and our guests had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. You can order a sensibly priced meal or you can go higher if desired. Average price for our meals came to about $48 including gratuity.

“Forget conversation”
Reviewed October 31, 2012

Interesting decor. Service OK; food OK. They'd be well-served to install some noise-dampening ceiling tile. Impossible to converse without shouting.

“There's a lot going on here”
Reviewed October 2, 2012

Decor here is loud and wild and more like a circus than firehouse. The crowd is loud and wild too. The food may be decent but we were one of three large groups so the fish was super overcooked. The wings looked good as did the calamari. Try the firehouse bread, it was tasty.
Go here to see PA representatives and business big wigs.

“great duck cakes but pricey wine”
Reviewed September 26, 2012

Interesting place – converted fire station with a bit of character. Friendly and efficient service.

We shared a duck cake appetiser and were somewhat sorry in that it was so delicious that I think we would have preferred to have a whole dish each! However our entrees of crab cakes were not so good – very fishy flavour – didn’t really enjoy and left half.

Our wine choice was the only Californian syrah on the menu for $40 and was somewhat disappointing. Our disappointment increased when we saw the same wine in a liquor store in Philly for $11!

Might go back – I’d have the duck but avoid the crab and probably have beer!
