This was great. My date from out of town went here with me, and he loved it too. The food is clearly made with quality ingedients. Unlike many American restaurants that use artificial-tasting food, Au Bon Lieu tastes like it's right out of Europe: quality, natural ingredients, beautiful presentation. If you want a real, delicious, French/European experience go here. I wish I could eat there every day. Sweet or savory - both yummy. Romantic & fun.

“Bon Appetite”
Reviewed October 20, 2013

We visited Au Bon Lieu after a tour of Pennsylvania's state capitol building & state museum on a Saturday afternoon. The capitol & museum are at one end of North 3rd & the restaurant is at the other end, near Strawberry Square. We ordered two crepes: turkey with cranberry & mozzarella and chicken with mushrooms & onions. Both were very satisfying & filled us up. We then ordered & shared a chocolate strawberry crepe for dessert - delicious! The owner was very courteous & we had our coffees within a few minutes of ordering. Crepes were served warm & tasted great. It's a good place to bring children, as the two front tables allow children to make chalk decorations (chalk is provided). The prices were very reasonable & we hope to go back again before leaving Harrisburg. Good neighborhood for walking.

“Just yum!!”
Reviewed October 18, 2013 via mobile

I've been to this creperie several week days for lunch and have always been impressed! Both the sweet & savoury crepes are delicious-I usually get one of each! ;) Who would have thought Nutella and coconut could be so delicious!! Over lunchtime there is typically a wait; however it's always been worth it to me!

“Crepes in Harrisburg!”

I just loved the nutella crepe with sprinkled powdered sugar on top. You have to eat it right away though, or else it'll get cold and not taste as nice

“Very disappointing”
Reviewed September 27, 2013

Thought this would be a great idea for a book club meeting. I should have thought twice. The restaurant was supposed to be opened at 10:00 when we arrived. However, nobody showed up until 10:15. We had to wait while the guy pulled the outdoor tables from the restaurant. Several women requested French press just to be told the machine was broken. Another woman wanted iced tea, but was told "no" to this as well. We ordered savory crepes which were not the best. The crepes themselves were tough and relatively cold. The filling not very impressive. We also ordered a sweet crepe to share which wasn't much better. It's a pity because the place could really be successful if managed better.
