While I've heard great things, this was my first time there. The food and atmosphere were both really great, although the waitress could have been a bit better. Harrisburg does not have a lot of high-quality restaurants that are local, unique and independent. Char's should be proud of being all of that and then some. The Gumbo was awesome, the soup was great and even the coffee was really good (and I'm picky about my coffee). They have a nice wine selection, and we enjoyed a nice bottle of Malbec during dinner. Everyone was pleased with their selections this evening and we will certainly be back.
