“Not bad, but certainly has its rough sections to be avoided”

Harrisburg is a struggling city right now-- lots of crime in certain sections and well.. it's bankrupt. I would not want to stay there much after dark when the state workers leave. However, I'm not really "afraid" of it-- it's my hometown so I know where to go and where not to go. Like every other city, you just have to use your head. In reality, there are some fantasic builidings to behold, delicious restraunts, and enjoyable museums. So don't pass them by if you are in the area! The capitol is particularly magnificent.

The night time walking to and from the hotel is easy, but I would not do it alone. as with any large city there are homless and street beggars that may intimidate you.. There are several good eating establishments within walking distance. I enjoyed a place called Sammy's for Italian food, quite nice and friendly
