Local eatery/bar...needs a bit of remodeling to update both the inside dining areas & outside of the building. Minimal parking area out front but 2 larger parking areas behind the building...if you're entering right off Front St, there are 2 small alleys on either side of the building that will take you to a parking lot directly behind the building. Beyond that area is a larger parking lot across the small street (watch for 2 way traffic).
The burgers are excellent as well as the variety of salad choices (I've never had a steak although that's what this place is supposed to specialize in) & the amount of food is abundant! Staff is friendly & helpful. Reservations would be helpful on the weekends or if you're taking a large group of people for weekday lunches because it's a well known eatery serving not only the local residents but also the State Capital's surrounding businesses & Politicians. It's located north of the city and across from the Susquehanna River. Good value for the money. Will keep returning.

I stopped here for lunch on my way out of town. Had the steak salad. Very tasty. Strange crowd for 12:00 on a Saturday. Drunkards at the bar, slurring & stumbling. Shocked they were being served.

Food was abundant and very good tasting. Place could have been cleaner. My wife had peel and eat shrimp that she said was very good. I had a cheeseburger that was very tasty and quite large. The French fries were very crispy.

It is a bit of a dive and you really need to get reservations at the height of the legislative session but the steaks are oversized and the salads are as well. Ask for a takeout box before you even begin to dine. I lost some of its quirky ambiance from years ago when they removed the pool table.... but the bar area is still "decorated" with various beer cases and the locals at the bar are a hoot. Never had a bad time here.

The first time I went to the Glass Lounge, about 20 years ago, there was a pool table in the middle of the dining room. You had to duck if someone shot a ball too hard. They have changed over the years, no pool table, added some decent wine to the menu, and now accept credit cards. It used to be cash or check only. And, I almost fell off my seat the day they served chocolate covered strawberries!! The food has been pretty consistant. Good sized portions and reasonably price. This place is not fancy, don't dress up to go there, but the food is very good. Personally, I like the tenderloins. Some of the staff have been there for years and for the most part, are very friendly.
