El Sombrero's delicious, creamy refried beans are quite a treat. Years ago a cooking show host traveled to a town in Mexico where a woman made the best refried beans. El Sombrero's chef must have her recipe. Everything else that comes out of their kitchen is equally delectable and gets high marks for presentation. Besides the fact that all items are reasonably priced.
The restaurant does not have a liquor license, so it's BYOB - we were offered cold glasses for our beer. We can highly recommend the Frijitas Texanas - shrimp, chicken & sliced beef for $12.55 and #16 from the Combinations at $8.25, this dish features 3 shredded beef enchilidas covered with a yummy cheese sauce.
