The restaurant & cafe are located in an old home, 50 feet from an elevated NS active railroad line. Offering patio service in good weather, the food & service are a welcome change from the corporate eateries we are offered. We absolutely love their pork chop & cocoanut shrimp but daily offerings have always been well explained & when purchased, delightful. Being an older home seating is close. Met a wonderful couple from Canada the other day just stopping for the night on a road trip, but you can also enjoy just your own table. You need to look for this gem and it is street parking but we would highly recommend you stop & enjoy lunch or dinner.

Awesome food! Great ambiance! Wonderful service! Thanks Monty! Great interaction and explanation of menu and specials by Monty. Well paced also. Had the crab dip that wasn't heavy or filling. My wide had the crab cake and potatoes au gratin that were to die for. The big surprise was the seaweed salad that was sooo delicious. My rack of lamb was cooked perfectly! So tender and juicy, that poor little lamb didn't walk much at all before making his way to my plate. I will be back! I still can't believe this gem is in Greencastle!

This was our second visit to this great restaurant in Greencastle. What a very good meal we had. The appetizers we tried were Maryland Crap soup, Brie and Crab dip, 1/2 avocado stuffed with curry crab salad. They all were delicious . For the main course we had a12oz blacken strip stake medium which was cooked perfect. A mesquite grilled pork chop which was moist and cooked to perfection. Also a spinach fettuccini with shrimp in alfredo sauce which was very good. The only disappointment we experienced was in the desserts. They were out of carrot cake and triple layer chocolate cake with peanut butter icing. In our previous dining experience there we were lucky enough to try these deserts and they were very good. Our waiter, Monty was very attentive and Kim the owner of Highline stopped by to check on us. I would rate this restaurant with a 5 had we been able to get the deserts we wanted. We definitely will dine there again, and I feel that this restaurant is by far the best in Greencastle.

Mrs. Teabody often acts upon the recommendations of her tea shop visitors, but somehow she had not found the right moment to visit Highline until today. No longer can Highline be categorized as a coffeehouse as all around were signs of an up and coming, full-fledged dining STAR that merits all the positive attention it has been getting. The front door opens directly onto the attractive but compact bar. The hostess was reluctant to seat Mrs. T and friend in the sunroom because of the construction noise, but was persuaded, and from that vantage point, one could see how warm weather diners will be enjoying a greatly-expanded patio for al fresco dining. Our waiter, Monty, was helpful in suggesting signature cocktails and we enjoyed original spins on traditional drinks -- basil in an old fashioned? Delightful! Black bean and bacon soup was served piping hot and both of us felt the chicken avocado sandwich served with house-made chips was delectable. Not a crumb remained. Because of other plans for dessert, we did not sample the sweets, but our lunch left us wanting a return visit--the sooner the better. Be warned. The train passes directly alongside the restaurant but in spite of its proximity, we found conversation at a normal volume was fine. If you have not visited Highline, do yourself a favor and do so soon. Great dining experience!
