The people at Penn National gaming went to great lengths to create a very nice- looking facility. It is not a very large casino and this may account for some of the other reviews that refer to the smokiness of the building. However, the facility is well maintained and very clean.
Unfortunately, this may be one of the most expensive casinos for poker players that I have ever visited. There is a max. 6.00 dollar rake and I have seen an early pull on more than one occasion. (ex. 44 in the pot and pullls 5) There are no comps. for poker players and there are no free alcholic drinks for anyone. The poker tables are not very comfortable because the underside of the table is enclosed everywhere except the middle seats. The game spread is extremely limited, usually no-limit 1-2, 2-5 Texas Hold-Em, not even limit hold-em is usually offered. In addition, there is little consistency among the floor personnel for issues regarding misdeals, cards over, out of turn action...etc.
All in all, if you are a poker player or someone who cannot tolerate second hand smoke you may wish to go elsewhere. If you like to just play slots or bet the horses at a very nice looking casino then this place is more for you.
