This motel has a lot of potential. I'd probably rate it 3 1/2 stars if that was an option. It's newish, with decent motel furnishings, and has a few innovative touches like a water slide in the indoor pool, a 9-hole indoor miniature golf course, and an indoor basketball hoop. With a (not very good) fold-out couch, you can get 5 of 6 people into a room. Less than 10 minutes from Hershey Park.

So, as you can tell, this motel probably works best for families visiting the local attractions. Others will probably find it your typical, almost cookie cutter "suite" hotel -- with the suites really just being about the size of a regular hotel room with some cooking facilities (and a very loud refrigerator) thrown in. I guess it's intended for longer stays, but the place is probably better suited as a place to crash on a one or two night stop.

Breakfast isn't particularly good -- and anyone who's stayed at a mid-priced American motel has seen it before. But it's free, so you'll probably feel compelled to eat it. It was the usual cold breakfast choices with cheap bread stuffs and bad OJ. They seem to put out a couple of hot dishes each day; we got greasy sausage patties and lousy scrambled eggs.

The beds (as long as you weren't on the sofa bed) were fine; not 4-star hotel good, but decent motel quality. The rooms were already showing a little sign of wear, which might not be a good thing given the new-ness of the property.

Using Choice hotel points, the place is only 12,000 points, which is a bargain for the area. I see some of their published rates are high: I personally wouldn't feel good paying over $100 to stay here.

We stayed a friday and saturday night. hotel was quiet, rural location, minuets away from Hershey. There were a few quirks like the pool could have been cleaner. It had a pond smell and was not crystal clear, but it was a heated indoor pool. The slide was great for the kids but weirdly set up. even my small 9 year old had trouble getting to the top without bumping his head or back. The mini golf also was great however at night the lights flickered horribly and it shows some wear, some moving parts wernt working and it had damage and you had to go down to desk to get the ball and clubs. But again, the kids thought it was great.
It stayed mostly quiet, once in the room we were not disturbed. We had a 2 bed queen suite which came with a couch and small kitchenette. We did not have enough dishes/silverwear to serve our family of four unless we all wanted to share a fork. Didnt bother the desk, just used the plastic we had with us. The remote for the tv had some magical spot where it worked and that required holding it over your head. And all the channels didnt work. The room was clean but there was no housekeeping other then removing the trash. Everything in the hotel was smaller then I expected but overall nice for the value.

The highlight of the trip was the italian restaurant next door on the hill. Great staff and wonderful food.

The hotel was conveniently situated off highway and only 10 minutes to hershey park. Rooms were clean and quiet during our stay. The sofa bed was a sofa bed and not the most comfortable. Breakfast was decent, although I could see if the hotel was fully booked that the seating area could be quite cramped. There is only one close resteraunt, so if you were staying for any length of time you would need to consider this. The kitchenette was well equipped. We only stayed two nights, but I could see how minimal room cleaning might get annoying for long stays. Kids loved pool, basketball court and mini golf area.

This was our second stay. It is the only place we found that accomodates 6 in a room. As a family of 6 it is quite expensive to stay in Hershey. It is worth the short drive to Herhsey Park. The sofa bed is not the most comfortable. My only complaint was that the room smelled musty. I did not address it with the front office staff. As soon as we checked in we were headed out and I knew we would not be in the room for that long. If we were staying for more than one night I would have inquired about that. Breakfast offered enough for one morning. I would stay here again.

Booked through Choice Hotels using reward points and the Frigged it all up. The hotel staff was able to fix it so we didn't have to change rooms like Choice.com set it up.

We chose the property for it's location near Hershey Park & Zoo America. It's not quite 5 minutes, but it is real convenient. There are hotels closer, but you pay a premium for the location.

The suites were nice and clean, beds comfortable and linens were nice.

The pool with water slide was nice for the kids, but way too loud with a play room above.

Good Internet connection.

Continental breakfast was OK, but they need more toasters.

A clever designer created curtains that hang a good eight inches from the window. Our room was in the front of the hotel, where the parking lot was lit by search lights. This made the bedroom so well lit at 9:00 at night that our 2 year old couldn't sleep. So we moved her to the outer room where the noise from the hall kept her up until nearly 11:00 at night. The sunlight flooded the room in the morning so we were all up before 8:00 am. I went downstairs and explained the situation to the delightful Lisa at the front desk, asking for a late check out so that the baby could nap in the room. She refused, telling me that the hotel was completely full the coming night and they needed to clean the rooms. I tried to point out that with check in at 4 pm they would still have time to clean the rooms, since they couldn't clean them all at once. Nope, sorry that your baby couldn't sleep but NO LATE CHECK OUT. Funny thing is, I checked the website and saw that there WERE rooms available, so Lisa lied to me. Such a nice quality in a front desk employee.

I asked to speak to a manager when I went back downstairs. 9:00 on a weekday morning and no manager on duty? Odd. So...the hotel is cheap but don't expect to sleep much. And don't expect anyone to care.
