We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Herhsey recently with my husband and two young children. The hotel was clean & comfortable and a very quick trip to Hershey Park - only 7 miles/10 minutes down the road. We had a king size bed, as my kids like to sleep on their inflatable beds when we travel. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was just what we needed. It had a mini fridge & microwave which was nice. The entire room was very clean. We were on the 3rd floor right by the elevator and I was a bit apprehensive at first but it turned out that it was a great location. We never heard any noise due to the elevator & actually it was good that we were on the 3rd floor - it seemed that the closer you got to the pool on the 1st level you could smell chlorine in the hallways. The breakfast in the morning was good - just what you needed to start your day. The staff the we encountered was very pleasant and helpful. Overall, this is a great place to stay when visiting the Hershey area that is clean, comfortable and more than half the price of the hotels right in Herhsey.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights for a visit to Hershey Park with my teens. The park is 10 minutes from the Hotel, so it was very close and easy to find.

The hotel only has double beds, while we prefer Queens, but the rooms were clean with a large fridge and microwave. The bathroom is small, but clean with some ammenities.

The pool was a nice size and we enjoyed the hot tub too!

The high speed internet for free is very nice and so is the buffet breakfast with many items and the hot items change daily. It is restocked frequently.

The front desk staff are mostly fairly young people (No one seemed over 20 years old). They answered your questions but were not overly friendly or helpfull, many times staying in the back office. This is the only dissappointment of the hotel.

I would still stay at the hotel if I was in the area again.

I have stayed at other Hampton Inns, this is FAR from the quality of other properties. The entire hotel needs a MAJOR update; the carpets and interior of the rooms look about 40 years old and have a slight odor to them.
We stayed in a Suite room. We try to always book suites, as we have two children and suites seem to work out better for us. This suite is very small. The "kitchen area" is way out of date and the sink is the size of a cereal box.
The AC units is the room are SOOOO loud (and the air coming out of them smells like mildew), every time they kicked on or off they woke me up and the AC unit in the bedroom made a banging sound every hour or so. I ended up just turning it off and sweating all night.
If you are booking a room at this Hampton thinking that is must be good it is a Hampton Inn, think again!!

We wanted to go to Hershey Park over Memorial Day weekend. All the hotels within one or two miles of the park seemed to be in the high two hundred a night category. I found the Hampton Inn Grantville which is just over six miles from the park and directly of I-81 and found it to be very affordable. Our first night was Saturday which had the highest rate of our stay at $139.00 which was still very reasonable considering the holiday weekend. Our remaining nights Sunday and Monday were just $99.00 a night. We like staying at Hampton Inns because they are clean and offer a nice complementry breakfast. This hotel had an indoor pool and exercise room as well. The rooms were clean and staff friendly. The complimentry breakfast was ample with several selections (hot and cold items). The pool was average and there was a hot tub for the adults. The only problems or complaints that we had were that the key cards to the rooms never seemed to work and repeated trips to the front desk had to be made to get a new key. We noticed that several guests were having this problem as well. All in all we would recommend this hotel for the price, comfort, and location.
