This was one of the nicest B&B's we have ever stayed at. Robert, our host, was friendly & made us feel right at home. Our room was immaculate, comfortable & beautifully decorated, as was the entire inn. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. The location was great because you are close enough to get to attractions and shopping easily without being in the middle of the busy tourist area. We highly recommend this B&B for a relaxing getaway.

Due to a mistake by me, we arrived after much traffic with our 6 year old in tow. I should have asked if children were allowed, but since she shares a bed with us on vacation, I forgot. As soon as we opened the door he stared us down and told us no children were allowed. He made the child feel terrible. Then he wanted to charge us double to let us stay in a cottage with her. The price was about 300 dollars. We said no thanks. He insisted that we pay him something for the night anyway, which we did. He never offered to help us find another place. He was beyond rude. We paid him and left and went to the Best Western a mile away. They helped us find a lovely inn that welcomed us and charged us half of the price of this ugly house. The house is right on the highway and you hear all the traffic. There is nothing country about this place. We stay at B&B's all the time and this was our first terrible experience.

Robert treated us like we were family. He prepared the breakfasts with gusto and each meal was plentiful and creative. I find myself dreaming of his breakfasts still. The location of the B&B is in the middle of everything. The room and private bathrooms were great and afforded us great sleepful nights. The freshly baked cookies are a great treat and the adice on the MUST SEE attractions were helpful.
We could not have asked for better lodgings ~

This was the first time my wife and I have ever stayed at a bed and breakfast. If they are all remotely close to this one we are in for a treat!!! We came to After Eight to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary. Bob and June made us feel very welcome, comfortable and right at home. The food was absolutely wonderful as were the accomodations. The place was spotless. They really care about their guests and it showed. We will be coming back again!

My husband and I enjoyed a delightful weekend at the After Eight Bed & Breakfast in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The hosts, Robert and June Hall, provided everything needed for our comfort. Breakfast each morning was plentiful and delicious. Our room was comfortable and nicely decorated, as was the whole house. There is an Amish farm directly behind the property, and we were close to everything of interest in the area. A highlight for us was the Pennsylvania Railroad Museum in nearby Strasburg.
