This excellent little cafe replaced a coffee house my wife and I loved. Whenever we returned to this charming little city near our home town, we took home a few pounds of the wonderfully roasted beans. So we were more than a bit surprised that the successor turned out to be even better. The coffee is still first-rate, some of the best we've ever had (and that includes a lot of cities). A big bonus, for my wife, is that there is always a little selection of gluten-free pastries along with the other goodies, including an authentic, home-recipe, Brazilian corn cake with a soft center. During our last stop, we also gobbled down two other delicious GF treats, a pumpkin nut cookie and an apple-cinnamon roll. Franklin is very lucky to have this great cafe/roastery.
