The Foxburg Inn is a 7 yr old 23 room motel/inn, it is NOT a hotel... It is perfectly suited to its surroundings and takes advantage of its location on the banks of the Allegheny River
2nd and 3rd floor rooms entered through indoor corridor, 1st floor entered through outdoor courtyard. 2nd and 3rd floor rooms have picture window views of Allegheny river. Personally i think the 1st floor rooms 104-108 are the best as they have a door that leads onto a very oversized patio with chairs and tables w/umbrellas. View of the river meandering by is quite relaxing..the night we were there , i believe there were 15 people out on the deck. Rooms are fine, nothing special. TV has cable but no premiums liek HBO.
It is a 27 in and for size of the room a 32 in would have been more appropriate but it was still fine to watch shows..(we are getting spoiled by our large screen TV;s at home).
Value/Price is nothing special, the inn is NOT a bargain but is worth an overnight stay. Rails to trails biking begins at end of parking lot which is a ncie feature. Great restaurant next door, pizza shop a couple steps away and a few fun shops to check out. Would be happy to return.

Room Tip: Rooms 104-108 have door from room leading onto oversized deck riverside. Not sure about 103.

We stayed here on a Saturday night and had a very pleasant time. Our room was on the first floor and had a door that opened up onto a lovely deck overlooking the Allegheny River. We were even treated to surprise fireworks from a neighboring town downriver. The front desk staff was very helpful. The bed and pillows were fine and it was very quiet at night. The hotel supplied us with 2 complimentary muffins, snack bars and bottled water. There were plenty of brochures in the lobby of things to do in the area. I would definitely stay here again. We went to Foxburg in order to ride the Rail to Trails on our bicycles. Dinner next door at the Allegheny Grill was WONDERFUL. Quaint town with a few shops to see - art gallery, chocolate shop, wine store with wine themed gifts and even a live band on Sat. afternoon.

Stayed, along with 2 others, for 2 nights on business trip in area. Hotel was a great choice & met all my needs. Friendly staff, clean room, nice bathroom (good water pressure in shower), comfortable bed, privacy, & a great view of the river. Oh, & I cannot forget Simon (the friendly house cat!). It's in a very small town, but had everything I wanted. Breakfast at the pizza shop next door was good ( I hear they have good pizza too}. The Allegheny Grille on the other side of hotel was beautiful, with great food, very nice bar & patio overlooking the river. Very relaxing after working all day. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my colleagues coming to the area, & know of some who have already booked for their business trip, since hearing how much we enjoyed ours. I also plan to return with my husband to really get to check out more of the area.

This place has endless potential but needs upgrading from management down to the sheets on the bed. We are a local couple who was looking for a close getaway weekend. It seems charming at first but we were were very disappointed with our stay. The rooms were clean but the furnishings are old and need replaced. The beds are terrible. The sheets are old and poor quality. The view was great and we had a suite but we could not even adjust the temp. Wall unit would not operate. Called front desk at 3 am no answer. We could not sleep because it was so hot so we opened all the windows and door to our room. Safe! The note on the whirlpool tub about filling tub properly and how it could turn the city water brown was interesting? No pool, no breakfast / well two old looking muffins shoved into corner of fridge I guess counts. At check out the receptionist was too involved with speaking with the cleaning lady to acknowledge us or even speak to us. We stood there for at least five minutes we finally left. Needs new management and quick. Such potential. The Siamese cat was the most welcoming part of our experience the rest of staff should take lessons.

The rooms at this hotel all have a nice view of the river but really if not for that there would be nothing to set this hotel apart. The rooms are nice and kept clean however my two biggest complaints are that I did not find the bed particularly comfortable and the TV seems too small for the room. The hotel really offers nothing in the way of amenities and for the price they charge I really expect more. If you want to take a nice weekend getaway this hotel works since it is adjacent to a nice restaurant and a winery with a great selection of wines at very reasonable prices, but you can definitely find better values elsewhere.

Located on the bank of a river the hotel offers beautiful views from big glass windows. Staff is very welcoming. Foxburg is a small but very beautiful town. Opposite to the Inn is a winery where you can buy wine made with Pennsylvanian grapes and don't forget to try from the selection of coffees available at the corner shop names Divani. All in a all a great refreshing break during a long tiring journey.

First let's end any confusion. The picture shown is the Allegheny Grill which used to be called the Foxburg Inn before they built their hotel. Once the hotel was built they took the name Foxburg Inn and renamed the restaurant.
Anyway, the Foxburg Inn is just a regular hotel. Nice large rooms with the standard hotel furniture and beds. Nothing really fancy. There is a large deck on the rear of the building that overlooks the Allegheny river, but again nothing fancy. Just some regular deck furniture here and there and no roof to allow you to be out there during a rain. Rooms on the one floor have access to the deck from their hotel rooms which is nice. If you're up in the country enjoying a get away this is a good place to stay since there really isn't a lot of choices up in this area.
The Allegheny grill is right next store for your meals and it's a very nice restaurant with a separate bar room from the dining area which overlooks the river and in the summer out door seating on a deck by the river.
Across the square from the Foxburg Inn is a nice winery with a large selection of local wines. In the summer months they too have outdoor seating and entertainment.

Room Tip: One floor has room access to the large deck overlooking the river. I believe it's the first floo...
