With many smaller restaurants cutting quality of food to save costs, this restaurant stands above their counterparts. The freshness and quality of their entrees is evident with the first wonderful bite. We had the fortune of dining at the Ferndale Inn last night with another couple, the food and the service was impeccible. We had the shrimp/ crab cakes, 2 very large cakes with the shrimp and crab combined, it was a different and delicious version of the normal crabcake. The scallop entree had at least 8 large scallops with a scalloped potatoe side, also delicious The crab casserole was full of lump crab in a mild cheese cream sauce.
The chef is also the owner of the establishment, which probably attributes to the attention to detail seen in every aspect of this Inn. The outside was tastefully decorated for the fall with pumpkins and mums and the inside was beautifully decorated. The bar has an additional menu of smaller entrees and appetizers.
If you happen to be travelling on Rt. 611 heading toward Easton, PA stop by the Ferndale Inn. You will not be disappointed.
