The remodel, expanding into the next door space really improved this place. The ambiance is great. They open the sides up for an open air feel. They also have music playing at certain times. Try the jalapeño cucumber margarita!!

My wife and I live a mile from this place, so we come to Al Pastor quite often, and the food/drinks/service are really good. Now that they have expanded the square footage....the place is fantastic. Great place for lunch and/or dinner....from the tortilla soup to the taco salad. In the 'Shareables' section of the menu...everything is spot on. Chicken tamales, chorizo fundido, chili rellenos....you really can't go wrong. My wife and I have tried all the tacos, and all are really really good. The cocktails are really good [maragaritas, mojitos, martinis, and specialty cocktails]. They make a Mezcal Old Fashioned which is really tasty. They used to put a Luxardo Cherry in it, but have scaled down to the lame 'too red' maraschino cherry....they ought to bring back the Luxardo [our only complaint, and that's minor]. The sangria is delicious, they have many varities of tequila, and a decent selection of beer. If you sit at the bar, Ed the bartender is a trip, and a welcome new addition to the Al pastor crew. If you like an open/airy atmosphere, good food and drink, definitely try out Al Pastor. Oh, and try the street corn!! BOOM!

The food here is so good! The nachos are amazing and a huge portion served on a pizza sized tray. The salads are great and all the tacos are too. My daughter loves the kid tacos. The waiters and waitresses are so nice and friendly. Highly recommend.

Half full on a rainy Sunday afternoon, Although the young waiter was very polite and attentive, there was not much to like here. My wife's margherita tasted and smelled like rubber...how can a tex mex cafe screw up a margherita ? I had chicken fajitas and, sorry, but it tasted like it was prepared the day before and warmed over...the chicken did not seem fresh. will not go back.
