We purchased VIP tickets to the Sand Castle Winery from Groupon My sister in law and her husband, sister and her husband and my husband and myself thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. The pairings were great, the gentleman who MC'd was great and the wine was terrific. We all enjoyed ourselves and I would highly recommend this trip.

WE went here on our way home from the Poconos and so glad we did. My boyfriend and I go to a lot of wineries and do lots of tastings and this was the absolute best! The gentleman that gave the tasting was extremely knowledgeable and so friendly. Most of the wines we tasted with w either chocolate, fruit, cashews, wasabi etc. He explained which wines tasted better w certain foods. The place is beautiful too!!! Cant wait to go again!!! O and the wines were DELICIOUS!!!

“Very slow service, not great wine”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 17, 2012

Stopped in out of curiousity since we were in the area. They had a tasting going on, so I can understand that they may have been a little distracted. However, there were other people from the winery coming in an out who never greeted or acknowledged us. Once we finally got someone's attention, we were able to purchase a few bottles, but it was like we were putting them out to get served. The chardonnay that we purchased was terrible to boot.

“Sand Castle Wine tasting and tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2012

what a wonderful afternoon we had.. four friends joined about 40 others on a Sunday afternoon for their 1:00 p . m. VIP Wine tasting and tour. we actually sat at long tables in a lovely room overlooking the Delaware river and hills of Bucks County. the owner was most informative. taking us from wine tasting, wine pairing with different foods. how to purchase the wine and recoginize the labels to how to hold and swirl and taste the different wines. He did this with a great sense of humor. After an hour and a half or more we toured the lowest level of the winery where the wine is aged and put into the barrels and stainless steel vats.where it stays for years.. All most interesting. The atmosphere is lovely and the building actually looks like a Sand Castle. great way to spend an afternoon and combine it with other attractions that this area of Bucks County offers.

“A nice (typical) experience”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 26, 2012

Was a nice visit, and a nice place - but nothing special when it comes to wineries. A nice place to visit on a nice day, but nothing that sets it apart. The tour was mediocre. Recommend you stick to sampling the wine.
