This is one overpriced motel. The building really doesn't resemble the pictures you'll see online. It looks very worn and in need of major overhaul. The rooms are pretty small. The beds are hard. The pillows lumpy. The bathrooms are tiny, and the towels so scratchy they can double as sandpaper. The only good thing about this place is that they give you a voucher for a free breakfast at the Mcdonalds in front of the building, and $7 in free slot play for Presque Isle. But the bottom line is that this is a terrible value. You can probably pay the same and get a much nicer room somewhere else.

I've stayed here on two occasions. The first was July 28, 2011 and it was a pleasant stay. I discovered it was pleasant because I was on the BACK SIDE of the building.
The second was not so pleasant and occurred August 11, 2011. The FRONT SIDE of the building is exposed to the road noise of a very busy interstate 90.

Unless you are deaf, I suggest avoiding this motel since being promised a back side room is virtually impossible.

Room Tip: back side room only -- front side has deafening road noise from interstate

Stayed here on a recent trip and was pleasantly surprised when I opend the door. The room was very bright, cheerful and clean. After my last experience to Erie staying at the Tally Ho, this was a night and day experience! Would definately stay here again. Breakfast was included at McDonalds next door and a voucher for the casino a couple blocks down the street.

We wanted a cheap but nice, pet friendly room for a couple of nights for my boyfriend's birthday. The other decently reviewed, cheap, pet friendly hotel was charging $10 per pet per day...that would have been an extra $40 for our 2 dogs for 2 nights. This hotel has no pet fee! Free wifi! The only cons of this hotel is that the pillows are wayyyyyy to big and hard-it puts your neck way too high misaligning your spine while you sleep. There is no refrigerator or pamphlet in the room about area attractions. The coffee maker was too small to bother using. The bathroom only has enough room to turn around in it. The "free breakfast" is at the neighboring mcdonalds and you only have 4 options-sausage biscuit, egg mcmuffin, bacon egg and cheese biscuit or sausage egg and cheese biscuit. It's not healthy-actual started our days off with heavy grease in our stomachs. But it was free so we took advantage lol. All in all it was worth the price. The hotel staff took $10 off our tab due to our uncomfortability with the pillows so that was nice of them.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing away from the highway-you won't hear the rt 90 traffic rushing by.

Great hotel if your going for shopping or visting...
Clean rooms.
Courteous staff.
Free breakfast.
Close to McDonald's
Close to Casino.
Under 8 minute drive to Peach St. shopping center and Millcreek Mall.

Road leading into hotel needs to be re-paved.

breakfast is at the McDonalds next door. It wasn't hard to find from the highway but a little tricky getting into the parking lot because the entrance to McDonalds is so close. Beds were not too comfortable.

Stayed here for one night as part of a shopping trip with friends.
Pro's
Not a bad price, updated rooms, free McDonalds breakfast, clean, helpful front desk staff, left extra pillows and towells in the room, surprisingly quiet even though it is RIGHT beside the interstate.
Con's
Not the greatest location (there is nothing close enough to walk to other than other hotels, McDonalds, Arbys and a really bad country bar). If you don't want to drive or take a taxi for dinner you are pretty stuck.
Bit concerned by the security. Rooms aren't attached to the front desk and there are no locks on exterior doors leading to the corridors...kind of odd.
Overall, our stay was fine and I would recommend the hotel in a pinch. But next time I got to Erie I would probably pick somewhere else (and pay a bit more) to get more ammenities and better area.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the interior hallways.
