I had to travel out east for business and we decided to make it a mini vacation traveling back home to Indiana. We stayed at LaQuinta in Connecticut and then traveled on to see Niagra Falls (No LaQuinta in that area) and stopped in Erie PA for a night. We try to always stay at LaQuinta as they are pet friendly and have stayed in Ohio, Connecticuit, Indiana and now Pennsylvania. While the location is awesome to the interstate the ease of getting in and out of the parking lot is not very welcoming. However the rooms and other interior makes this exceptional for a LaQuinta. I am hopeful that all the locations will be getting the same face lift as the esthetics of this location made our stay even more enjoyable.

Our room was very large with a sitting room separate from bedroom that had fold out couch. The coffee maker, fridge, and microwave had their own little kitchenette area. The bathroom was roomy and overall the room was just comfortable and was actually nicer than the Marriott location in Connecticut I stayed for my work week.

After a disappointing meal at the local Mexican restaurant we stopped at Wal-Mart to purchase some shorts so hubby could try out the pool. He reported it was very relaxing and perfect.

Breakfast the next morning was more than expected. Normally you have waffles, 2 cereal choices, bagels, muffins, various coffee/hot chocolate/tea, and fruit like apples or oranges. This spread included all that plus scrambled eggs, sausage, 2 additional cereal choices, and bananas.

Our stay was exceptional and the staff was very pleasant and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. But again are hopeful all the other locations will get this same update!

Room tip: We stayed in King room and photos online show it perfectly!

We frequently stop in Erie on our way to Ohio and have stayed in a number of hotels along Interstate 90. This was our first here and wanted to try it because of prior good experience with La Quinta. We were not disappointed. The brand should be recognized for its standards and so we will be here again. The hotel does not have a good restaurant nearby (that is within walking distance). There is a good pizza joint within a brief walk however. We go up one exit to get to a selection of restaurants such as Applebees but there are many. This hotel is next to a gas station and has easy off and on access to Interstate 90. It is quiet despite it being close to the highway. The shower heads are very fancy and a bit trickey for my slightly arthritic hands.

Room tip: First floor is really convenient and close to your car and quiet to boot.

stayed in a Jacuzzi suite for the weekend. Room was clean, comfortable, and staff was friendly and efficient. Close to casino. Also close to shopping and restaurants in Erie. Did a side trip to Westfield NY (farm and craft market, Crossroads, and Northeast, PA, wineries. a little coffee shop on Peach is a must, Coffee Culture just past the mall on left hand side. wonderful coffee. We had our 2 dogs with us and there is plenty of walking space, and we were on first floor on end which made it very convenient. This is a nice hotel to stay at what with the location, cleanliness of hotel, courteous staff, and a nice little town.

Room tip: pet friendly, try to get close to end of hallway, easy to get in andout with dogs.
