“Old fashioned charm, informal & relaxed”

George's has been in Erie for many years. It's where to go especially for breakfast or lunch, for great comfort food and service. We most recently were there for breakfast, where I had superb sweet potato pancakes and the endless cup of coffee, and my guy had a typical eggs - toast- sausage - home fries breakfast. The lunch and dinner menu includes "Real Deal" mashed potatoes, which you can have loaded whichever way you like. You'll feel good supporting this local business.

“Erie's Best Dinner”
Reviewed June 23, 2014

When you walk in to Georges you will like you stepped back in time from the checkerboard floor to the light red booths. When you sit down you will be promptly greeted by one of the fantastic waitresses and given the specials. The service and food at this establishment is fantastic. I have ate their several times and have never been disappointed. Everything from the stuffed french toast to the open face burger with the amazing chili and cheese on top. If you need a side for your home dinner be sure to pick up a quart of their delicious homemade soups. The food is all homemade and fresh. This local establishment has been around for many years and should continue to be supported by the local community. If you have not been to Georges Restaurant you need to do yourself a favor and go!

“Good Food”
Reviewed June 21, 2014

Stopped in for breakfast before leaving Erie after a few day visit. I had the chicken & waffles and my Husband had the stuffed French Toast which was huge. The food was very good and Trevor and his staff was very friendly. Will visit again when in the area.

“Classy menu; Efficient & Friendly Service; Delicious Food!”
Reviewed March 12, 2014

George's Restaurant takes ordinary food and makes it extraordinary! I always ask if they have quiche (which does not appear on their menu). And it's ALWAYS excellent! It is served with or without hollandaise sauce, and typically comes with an order of your choice of fries or fruit. But George's offers a whole lot more to love. The crab bisque and other soups, salads, sandwiches and specials are popular too. My husband loves their coffee along with their french toast, made with thick bread--too much to finish in one sitting, so I finish the leftovers at home (my other favorite!). Decor is retro and fun, and George's serves raspberry ice tea as a fountain drink, a rarity these days. Of the locally owned restaurants and national chains in the area, George's is my preference.
