“Backstage is an utter hazard”
Reviewed March 12, 2014

I recently performed here, and though the lobby, house, etc. are beautiful and historic, they've really let the backstage area go to hell. It's quite a shame - I'm talking standing water, broken elevator, uneven flooring, mold, rust, rot. DISGUSTING. The smell of stagnant water stayed in my nose until the next morning.

“Great venue”
Reviewed March 8, 2014

Attended a performance of "Rain," and found the venue to be nearly perfect in both size and acoustics. The Warner has been beautifully restored and I would definitely attend future shows there.

“Overall beauty”
Reviewed March 6, 2014

This theater is one to be seen. It is beautiful, old, historic, and just newly renovated. Thoroughly enjoy going to venues held there. Also, the front staircase is very majestic and worth seeing.

“Beautifully redone”
Reviewed February 23, 2014

It was designed by the famous Rapp & Rapp Company of Chicago, the theatre opened in 1931. Construction costs then were an unbelievable $1.5 million. It is furnished and decorated in the art deco style, the elegant theatre has gold and silver leaf, gold-backed French mirrors and crushed velour. The timeless and historic theatre has been expanded and restored.
It is home to the Erie Philharmonic, Lake Erie Ballet and the Erie BROADWAY Series. It also hosts a wide range of lectures, entertainment shows, weddings and receptions. The theatre hosts more than 150 events per year.

“Piece of beautiful history”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

This theater is on the Historic Register & one of only 2 or 3 left. It is used for many shows & the lobby is used for receptions & proms. It has been almost completely remodeled & updated. Waiting for the governor to release the last of funds to finish this jewel
