Mother Nature gave us Asbury woods as a gift. The trails stretch miles. Pack a lunch and enjoy getting away from it all.

“Wonderful walking and running trails.”
Reviewed July 22, 2014

Asbury Woods is more than just the nature center, though that is great place to take the kids to learn about wildlife and plants...the woods is the attraction here...there are well marked paths from the center to the bridge and up the hill to the Brown's farm entrance. The creek which divides the woods, is remarkable for its beauty, which changes with the seasons...which makes this place ideal for those who love to walk their dogs in the summer, or take a late evening stroll with someone special...the views from the overlook, bridge and hills vary with the year and can touch your soul. For runners, there are many paths to take, challenging and tough, but at the same time relaxing because of the beauty that surrounds you at every step. The big Maple tree is a great place to stop and ponder the beauty that surrounds you, and to consider what all this was like before you saw it and to realize that this place is a treasure for the people of Millcreek and those fortunate enough to discover it.

“Peaceful, any season. Amazing trails for all family.”
Reviewed June 29, 2014

We have visited Asbury woods many, many times. In summer the kids loved the summer camps, very well staffed and organized. They were exposed to nature, learned and made great crafts. They have classes year round and the trails are very well kept. It is refreshing to walk in summer under the shadow of the trees. For little ones the nature center is open all year and in winter is a fun place to visit the indoor animals. Autumn is gorgeous and you can expend hours walking here, or you can take a short hike, there are many trails, your choice (free and open all seasons) . Highly recommended both for one time visitors or new residents. Their membership is a good deal, they have discounted prices for all their activities.

“Great Nature Outing for Kids”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

We often visit family in Erie and spend a half day at Asbury park. We have a dd who is 8 and a ds who is 5 and they both love the boardwalk trail as well as the open/wooded trail that begins at the barn. The indoor area is a great place to see some animals up close. We usually pack a picnic lunch as there are a couple of nice picnic areas as well.

“Some of the best trails around”
Reviewed May 21, 2013

We visit Asbury Woods several times a year. The nature center is worth visiting for its indoor animals and gift shop. The trails are usually well-kept. We love it!
