It was overly crowded! There were so many people there you could not enjoy yourself. Some of the Slides(The Hurrican Hole)are completely Dangerous and the wonder full people standing at the top telling you when to go down DO NOT LET ADULTS KNOW TO HOLD THERE HEAD,so when you go down you end up with a small Migrain Headach!!, It's a wonder no one has SUED them yet . Would I go back--No.

“Absolutly The Best!!!!!”
Reviewed March 14, 2004

Splash Lagoon is the best waterpark in the world!!! Very clean and well appointed. The snack bar suprisingly served one of my personal favorites; Greek hamburgers! The water at Splash Lagoon was very warm and inviting, the slides were very nice and new! For those who canno't afford Splash Lagoon, Just get an Aunt Renee to pay for it.... Love ya!

“Wonderful family getaway”

We had a great time except when you wanted to find a table to eat at.
You are NOT supposed to save tables with your belongings but they do, which leaves you no place to eat. There are not enough lockers so you need to put your extras in the car but most folks do not. The other gripe I have is that every sign says no outside food allowed in but everywhere youlook there were coolers! One lady was even making pb&j sandwhiches right in front of a worker!! That's my complaint! Either enforce your rules or don't have them!

“Best Wintertime Park Fun and Value!!!”
Reviewed January 6, 2004

I paid $178 complete, including the tax, for a 2 day visit to Splash Lagoon and the overnight stay at EconoLodge included, good for 4 people (average of about $45 a person for the complete 2 day package!!!
CHEAP!!!) Free van rides back and forth to the park, the best service and staff both at the park and hotel. Free use of all innertube/rafts and childrens/infants safety jackets. The LOWEST park food prices I've ever seen, makes Cedar Point & Six Flags shamefull (example--Lagoon's Large 16" Cheese/Pepperoni pizza was $12.99 tax-free, and had homemade taste and less grease than Pizza Hut & Domino's. $4.99 refillable S.L.
mug refill are $1.29 tax-free, similar to Six Flags huge mugs. Kids Meals were average of $3.99 and included the entree with fresh fries and a medium drink. The only bad thing about the park is the chlorine odor, although vented 6 time an hour, can bother you after a few hours in the building, so we would go visit the air-conditioned arcade, which also had free game tournaments, and the kids won $10 Splash Lagoon Splash Cash cards, good for anything, not just arcade game credits.
Splash Cash credit style cards I would hope to see in other parks like CP and SFWoA soon, since you don't have to worry about getting all your money wet, and if you're a season pass holder, get an amount added that will hold you over for multiple visits. I really can't see anything to the truth of what other people have said of any reason to put down the park, since the value and service were superb, and more than water activities are going on all the time. 5 surrounding counties get daily discounts to the park, but their discount is even greater if they book a hotel stay and stay 2 days, and they won't even have to stay at the hotel, yet it still is cheaper than waiting for a 'day pass' (Wait for $25 day passes 2 days in a row, or just stay at the park for $45 a person for 4 people...you decide, but common sense says get a group of 4 together and enjoy your time) I know CP is building a similar park, but I can imagine the value and price of Splash Lagoon will make me continue to visit Erie, and avoid CP's upcoming waterpark, which will most definitely cost at least 75%-100% more than Splash Lagoon bargain packages.

“Wonderful Place”
Reviewed December 14, 2003

Splash Lagoon was a blast. The key for us was to stay overnight in one of the hotels where you get a tremendous value for the total dollar spent. All of our kids loved the waterpark and the older ones loved the massive Arcade (they brought home so many prizes it is crazy). We treated the stay as a many weekend at a resort with the great discounts at local restaurants and resort children's activities the weekend was well worth it.

One funny thing is that all the employees there say Aloha to you. That takes a little getting used to but it is nice touch.
