“An Erie Restaurant not to be missed...”

Awesome menu with variety to please everyone! It's a BYOB restaurant which is an added plus. We dined there on New Year's Eve (a night that we usually do not care to eat out) with 8 other friends. La Bella did not disappoint. Excellent service and meals.

“Amazing food and service ”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2013 via mobile

My husband and I chose La Bella for dinner after spending the day in Erie for our wedding anniversary. The atmosphere and decor were laid back and the service attentive. They were very accommodating of our gluten free requests, and we saw on the menu that they'll also make things vegetarian or vegan when possible. Our soups, salads, and entrees (chicken and salmon) were all first rate and arrived looking fresh and nicely arranged. The vegetables served with dinner were amazing.

We saw the owner checking in and chatting with each table. He was very friendly and made sure we were happy with our visit. When he learned it was our anniversary, he had the staff serenade us and bring us dessert. We had ice cream topped with freshly sautéed apples, fruit and nuts, and it was heavenly.

Recommend La Bella for is charm, food, and service. Suggest making reservations because the place is small and was filled during our visit. BYOB. They had delicious sounding dessert coffees (non alcoholic) but we were too full to try.

“Great food + wonderful service = Great Night”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 23, 2013

We were visiting our son's girlfriend in Erie to celebrate her first year in Medical school. Her father and I researched restaurants that catered to meat eaters, fish eaters, vegetarians and gluten free. We both found this restaurant. He made reservations noting our needs. We arrived and they had special veggie/gluten free menus on the table (plus the regular ones) and gluten free items to munch on. Nice touch! We ordered the fried spinach and the beef skewers. They were delicious. The eggplant rollatini and the pasta bolognese were excellent as was the chicken with brie cheese. Everyone raved about their dishes. There was a large party in the room, which made for a loud dinner. I can't tell you how our waitress and owner bent over backwards to make sure we were happy - due to the unusual noise in the room. They were fabulous. The price was right, the food was great and the service was awesome. Can't get better than that in a small town like Erie. The plus - it is BYOB so helped to keep the tab to a very friendly price!

The chef and the waitress were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is one of a kind beautiful tile floor, tin ceiling and unique painted wall art. The food was made fresh to your order. No frozen pre-made items. There is a great variety on the menu. We brought our parents and everyone was very happy with their meals right down to the homemade dressings. The serving size was large and the price was very reasonable. We will surely be back!

“the most amazing peanut butter pie”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 10, 2013

Both of my experiences at La Bella were absolutely wonderful. The staff is more than accomodating and extremely friendly. The menu has a variety of options to choose from and I especially appreciate the vegan/vegetarian and gluten free choices. It's currently BYOB which is also a huge plus in my book. The portions are huge (easy to feed 2 people on a budget) and the atmosphere is eclectic.

If you've got a sweet tooth, you HAVE to check out the peanut butter pie. It's $10 but it's more than big enough to feed 2 hungry people and has the most amazing, rich, flavor ever. It's worth every penny.
