We stayed here, while we did shopping in Grove City (45 min away). Great location. Close to highways, to go to Grove City, to go into town, and from/to getting home (Toronto). Lots of restaurants nearby. Clean hotel (room/breakfast area/pool/halls). Very friendly, knowledgeable and polite staff.
Would stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms on west side of hotel face hotel parking lot. Rooms on east side, face adjacent mall parking...

I was in Erie this past weekend for a girls shopping weekend. Our room was spotless and the staff was extremely friendly. The breakfast area was a little tight but in the grand scheme of things it wasn't a huge issue. We would definately stay here again and recommend it to anyone we know.

Marriott needs to spend a little money at this property and bring it back up to standard.
The hotel is getting a little worn out.
Carpeting is worn and dirty.
Elevator was so slow we gave up after our first trip up and used the stairs instead.
Will probably choose another hotel in the future.

This is the second time I've stayed here and both times had a wonderful experience. Our son plays football for Gannon University, which is just a short distance away from this hotel. The staff is very friendly and extremely accomodating with whatever our needs are. The hotel is spotless, current, and in a great location near several restaurants and shopping. The only semi negative thing about the hotel is the beds are a little too soft for my liking, however, I did sleep well. The continental breakfast always has very fresh food, i.e. fruit, bagels, bread, hard boiled eggs, etc. They also have some hot items such as scrambled eggs, sausage, bisquit/gravy and homemade waffles. It's always well stocked and runs from 7:30 til 10:00 so we never feel rushed to get there right away like other places. The pool looks nice (only 3+ ft deep) and a decent size compared to other hotel pools these days. We have never had the time to use it though. We will definitely stay here for every home game for the next 4 yrs. The price is fair and they also give us a Gannon discount. I also realized this trip that they allow pets for $25 per night. (most charge $50) Thinking of taking our doggie next time!! :)

Having an opportunity for a short weekend away with my husband, we were looking for a nice but affordable room in Erie, PA. My first two hotel choices were booked, so I chose this property. Since it was a Marriott property, I had high expectations. I was very disappointed.
1. The entry way had a very strong, terrible odor. (Smelled like body odor)
2. We had a room with queen beds. I called the front desk as soon as we walked in and asked if it would be possible to change to a king bed. I was told the hotel was sold out, but she (the young lady at the front desk) would see what she could do. We never even received an answer!! No call, no message.
3. House keeping walked right in to our room the next morning WITHOUT EVEN KNOCKING!!!
4. Breakfast was less than spectacular. The fruit was still frozen solid. It is a very small
area and it was crazy busy. We actually ate in our room, as there was no place to sit.

The rooms were clean and it was the location that drew us to this property. However, I would not stay here again.

Conveniently located to the Millcreek Mall, major retail stores, and several restaurants. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was typical Fairfield Inn. Indoor pool was nice and relaxing. They're using water-saving faucets in the bathroom...thumbs down. Amenities are Pantene products, not Paul Mitchell. AC/Heat unit does not have an always on option, it will kick on during the night based on the temperature. Rooms are clean, but could have more available outlets on the desk. So why the Very Good? The Erie Residence Inn is a such a noisy and stressful hotel, I would never stay there again. The Fairfield Inn is a quiet oasis compared to Residence.

Room Tip: Trucks like to park in the All Season's parking lot and run their engines all night or leave/arr...

The Fairfield Inn is perfect for a weekend where you need some space, comfortable beds, great continental breakfast. It is centrally located on the Millcreek Mall property and close to I-79 which takes you to other parts of the city. The Whispering Woods Golf Course is only about 10 minutes away and shopping for the ladies surrounds you. Would not hesitate to stay here again!
