“Excellent Value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 23, 2009

We stayed at this hotel for only one night as a stopover on our trip to Cleveland, which is less than two hours away.
Our room was, I thought, an excellent value. We paid only a little over a hundred dollars and got to stay in a spacious room, which had its own two-person jacuzzi, on the fifth floor. Most rooms we've stayed in of this quality cost up to twice as much.
The only aspect I didn't like about the room, which is common to a lot of hotel rooms, is that there is no sink in the bathroom; it's in an alcove just outside the bathroom. I consider this setup to be rather unsanitary, because you have to open the door before you can wash your hands. So bring the hand sanitizer for the doorknob.
The location is convenient, just off Route 90, and the usual assortment of fast-food chains are there. I didn't see many finer-dining restaurants, but again, I was only there for the night.
The $8.95 breakfast buffet was extensive, including made-to-order omelets, and the server was attentive. We didn't get a chance to use the pool, but it looked attractive and well-maintained. The front desk staff and the other employees we dealt with were very friendly.
All in all, it was a comfortable stay and a great value.

The Peach St. exit in Erie is your typical interestate exit full of hotels and restaurants. Great for a overnight stay while travelling. However, the prices in Erie have gone up considerably over the past few years. If staying there, be prepared to shop around and don't be scared to negotiated with the hotel for a better rate. Keep in mind that there is one company that owns many of the hotels/restaurants in the area, so they limit alot of price competition (Scott Corp. if my memory is correct.)

As for the Courtyard, its a nice clean hotel. Comfy beds, friendly staff. :Pillows are on the soft side (which I don't like, I prefer thinner, firmer pillows.)

This is a wonderful hotel all the way around! I would highly recommend it to travelers, esp. if you have a family! The staff were all wonderful, very friendly and most helpful. They accomodated a last minute reservation during what was a very busy weekend for the hotel. They met all our needs, providing us with a great room and all the amenities! They have a beautiful indoor pool. They are in a great location. The beds are very comfortable. The room was very clean. We got a wonderfuls nights sleep. There was a fridge in the room, which is priceless when you travel with children! I couldn't have asked for a better stay!

The staff was very nice and friendly. The room was clean but:

The room well.......... another story. It was a jaccuzi room with a king size bed. The jaccuzi barely fit 2 people (not the idea when it's supposed to be a get away for 2) the shape was the most uncomfortable tub i've even been in (even alone). As for the room itself. It wasn't much better. There was construction being worked on just below our balcony (huge bull dozers etc). It smelled like dumpster in august when we opened the sliding door to the balcony. Even though we had a LATE CHECKOUT the cleaning staff still proceeded to try to enter our room at 10am after we'd shouted to her 4 times we had a late check out after she WOKE US UP trying to get in.
The package we got included champagne and strawberries. Well, I would have rather gone to the liquor store and bought my own champagne or nice wine instead of the type they provided (sorry but it was the really cheap stuff and tasted that way too).

I've stayed in many other places that were this type of room. My expectations were much higher than what we got. I can't say I'd ever stay here again if I was wanting a jaccuzi suite room.

  • Disliked — the room itself

It's a great hotel for business travelers, but not for families, and its not really a "suite" hotel. We called the hotel, and we told them we wanted a two-room suite. They said that all of their rooms are suites so we booked it and come to find out that the "suite" is really just a semi-partion wall that divides the TV area from the beds. So we asked for a bigger room - ALL the rooms are the exact same size. It was too small for a family of four - at least for us. Good breakfast and swimming pool though, and very clean.

Stayed here one night on a road trip. It was a stormy, rainy, summer day, and we were all exhausted from a day of driving in the heavy rains. Upon arriving at the front desk, I was very impressed with how modern looking the hotel was. The rooms were very spacious with comfy beds and a balcony, but the view was just of a muddy construction zone. Did not eat at the restaurant but I'm sure it was nice. The exercise room adjacent to the pool was good for blowin off some steam after a day in the car, and the pool and sauna was one of the best I've ever seen. Overall, a very comfy stay.

We booked two rooms at the courtyard for our wedding. Our reception was also held at the hotel. One of the rooms was the presidential suite and the other was a king whirlpool suite. The presidential suite was one of the highlights of the night. It has a living room, small kitchen, a whirlpool, and 2 king beds. It also has an a music system that connects with every room in the suite. We were able to fit all of our family and friends in the room, maybe about 30 people. Everyone had a great time.
My husband and I had a king whirlpool suite. It was wonderful. The room was large, bed was comfortable. We loved everything about the room except the whirlpool was loud. We had a great time and so did our guests!
