“Steaks cooked right”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2014 credit card Amex Card Member Review

I was going to title this "Steaks cooked well" but there in lies the difference. I like my steaks RARE and most restaurants have trouble with that. Longhorn gets steaks done correctly. I like that.

“Mouthwatering, delicious ribeye steaks”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2014

The Longhorn Steakhouse in Erie, Pa offers one of the tastiest steaks I have had, outside of Morton's (which are the best). I had the Outlaw Ribeye, which was an 18oz steak, cooked to the exact degree I had specified, and it was mouthwatering delicious. My friends had a selection of other items including a filet, shrimp and combinations and conversation stopped because everyone was too busy enjoying their food. The steak was served with a choice of sides (I chose steamed broccoli) and a salad with unlimited freshly made bread and butter.

Remarkable, was the excellent service provided which was always prompt, polite and pleasing. I really appreciate both good service with good food and I heartily recommend Longhorn if that is what you look for in a dining experience.

“better food than service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2014

Have been there thriice in the past year and half. Won't make it a fourth time. We (family) came in about 7 pmish so that we hopefully missed the dinner rush. -Weekday. first time-We were sat at a table and the waitress did take our drink order and brought it after a very long time, should have left, but did not, came back and took order, forty five minutes later no food, then food came and apology from manager, apparently we had been forgotten about-restaurant was about 40% full. She said that this is not the way we do things so the supper is on us, being as it took so long and we were forgotten about. Next visit, family, drinks ordered, came, orders taken and food came. Again restaurant was about 35% full. Halfway though the meal, the waitress asked if there was any desert, which we declined, and then she brought us the bill, and we haven't even finished our entrée. Sort of saying there is no hurry but here is your hat and coat. Very unprofessional for this type of establishment. Commented and were given some coupons to use on our next trip, which we did. We were assured that that was not the way they conducted business, if you are here for a supper time repast, you should not be hurried if the restaurant was not busy. Third and last trip, drink orders taken, delivered, food orders taken delivered and, AGAIN, the cheque was deposited on the table as we were about half way through our entrée. Talked to the female manager, same one that talked to us on our first visit, and was again Apologetic, not our policy, and in good gesture gave us some coupons for our next visit. Those coupons were given to the staff of a local business. The food was warm/hot when delivered, each of us had a different entrée, but when the bill was deposited on the table, the food lost all of it's taste and appeal.
During lunch time when people are in a hurry, yes they may want the cheque so that they can eat, pay and run without waiting for the waitress to come around, but not at supper hour. Of the three different sit down and order off the menu establishments (eight different ones so far) that we eat at each time we come to Erie, this is the only one that provide the bill before the entrées are completed. Other than the first time we ate there (if I had to do it again, we would have left and found another restaurant, never to come back, but we gave them a chance ), the service and food was delivered within a reasonable amount of time and we would make it a regular stop if not for the bill timing.

Hi Wa C- It is troubling to hear how poorly we did during each of your visits. We can understand your frustration in our team not providing you your check at the appropriate time, which made you feel rushed while dining. This is something that we will be addressing immediately with our team, as this is a definite training opportunity. We are truly sorry that we failed to provide you and your family an exceptional dining experience, even after speaking with our management team on multiple occasions. We'd really like a chance to show you that we do place an emphasis on your satisfaction and can do much better. If convenient, please email us at longhornsocial@longhornsteakhouse.com, we look forward to hearing from you.

“Great Place for Steak”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 3, 2014

This is the 3rd Longhorn that we have been to (the others were in Nashville TN and Newburgh NY). The food and service was excellent. The steaks were flavorful and cooked exactly as requested. My husband and I ordered the rib-eye and my daughter had the renegade. All were so moist and tender.

“Ribeye-lovers heaven~”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2014

Great service and speedy service at this LongHorn. We all had the Ribeyes and one had the 23oz Ribeye. OMG - juicy and so full of flavor. Warning - they do put a rub on their Ribeyes before grilling and it was pretty spicy so if you don't like a little heat, ask them to go easy on the seasoning. We had to send one steak back because it was too spicy for one of our diners. They quickly replaced her entire meal. If you've eaten at a LongHorn, this one has the same menu but the service is one of the better places that I've eaten.
