“Worth stopping in.”
Reviewed July 15, 2013 via mobile

We stopped for breakfast on our way to Sandusky and were not disappointed. We had an excellent meal before the last leg of our road trip and woud recommend it to anyone looking for a place to eat in Erie.

“True Hometown Fare”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

As a native Erieite I did not know about the Lawrence Park Dinor (started in 1948) until a couple of years ago. The dinor changed hands in 2010, but it has not a single bite of its hometown flair or fare.

There are only 44 seats in this railcar-style dinor and at meal time you just might find every seat taken, so get there early. The staff is cheerful and helpful and diligent. The small grill may mean a it of a wait, but the staff hustles to minimize the wait.

The food is standard fare that satisfies. I had the turkey club sandwich with cole slaw and my fellow diner had the BBQ hamburg with french fries. After we had polished off our meals we were so full that we had no room to try the homemade pies. Another trip to the dinor when we get back to Lawrence Park is a must.

While TripAdvisor identifies the dinor as in Erie, it is really in Lawrence Park which is east of Erie. Ask any local how to get to the GE plant or Iroquois High School and you will be right in the neighborhood.

The dinor is at 4019 Main Street, Lawrence PA.

“Best home fries -- my son gave it 10 out of 5”
Reviewed July 5, 2013

It was worth the drive to have the true diner experience!

The food was great! You got to sit at the counter to see how the food was prepared. The staff were wonderful and the owners took pride in their food and their diner!

We will certainly go back again next time we are in town!

“Great diner experience”
Reviewed July 5, 2013

Although this was a bit off the beaten path, I'm really glad that we stopped by during our visit to Presque Isle last week. All of us--two adults & two kids--really enjoyed the food. But even better were the people. Everyone--staff and patrons--were super friendly and kept suggesting things to do during our stay. Great prices, great food, great people!

“Gem off the beaten path”

This was what a diner should be! Small, charming and food that says home. The warm dutch apple pie with ice cream was to die for. A must for diner lovers.
