This is a hotel on the Erie Bayfront with great views during the summer months. At $299. per night they are nice, but undersized with few amenities. No bar, fridge or microwave...just coffee. A desk, a stand alone closet, a small tv and a leather chair in the corner. No room for anything else. For an additional consideration one can become a club member which entitles one to a club within the hotel for free beverages and snacks. Their is a parking garage on site at $12/day. The location is everything, actually the best part. We dined across the street at Smugglers Warf and had an excellent meal. We enjoyed the outdoor atmosphere of "The Cove" on a warm summer evening. (Adjacent to Sheraton, but not a part of it). Stay here during the winter, no way. The small room is confining and not a value...and the location suffers during the winter.

Room Tip: King bed room, undersized, small stand alone closet, small tv, coffee maker, no other amenities. Sm...

The Sheraton Erie Bayfront Hotel is a marvelous place to stay in Erie -- smartly decorated in a nautical theme, the rooms are very comfortable, great views of either the city and boat basin or the bay and Presque Isle - we stayed on the 5th floor. Hotel staff --desk, restaurant, cleaning--were very helpful. We had a reservation for 7 for lunch at the Bayfront Grille, that expanded to 11. They gave us a lovely table on the patio, in the shade. Food was great. The waitress was very attentive, very conscious of our needs, timely, and very pleasant. Rooms are clean, air-conditioned, large shower, beds and pillows are very comfortable. Even though the hotel was fully booked over the weekend (lots of celebrations--family reunion, wedding), it was quiet at nite. Wi-fi available. Parking available (additional charge) in the parking lot next door to the hotel.

Room Tip: If you want to view Lake Erie, ask for a room on that side of the hotel, Book early as they were com...

Fourth time here and always a smooth and wonderful time. Check-in was a breeze, room was fantastic. One of my keycards didn't work, on my way out stopped at the front desk and the woman said let me see your ID then a couple clicks and then two new cards.

Wonderful views and staff the only downside is that they make you pay $12 to park.

We recently stayed at the Sheraton Bayfront, Erie, PA for a relative's wedding. The hotel is located right on the water, and is connected to the Erie Convention Center. The rooms are beautifully appointed. We had a bayfront room, with a wonderful view of the water and Presque Isle park.

On the plus side, they offer free internet throughout the hotel.

On the negative side, they charge $12/day for parking in the hotel garage. The housekeeping service was extremely slow. They didn't show up until about 4pm, and they didn't clean either the bathroom floor or the bedroom floor.

The hotel restaurant was pricey, but the food was good.

If you are in Erie for a special occasion, I would recommend this hotel. Otherwise, there are other hotel chains in the area that are less expensive.

My wife and I stayed at the Sheraton in Erie for 5 nights at the end of August. We had a room on the top floor (8th) facing the bay. The large window provided us with great views of Erie's beautiful sunsets. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and matched exactly the pictures on the hotels website. The window coverings were excellent and allow for blackout sleep conditions. The food at the lobby restaurant is very good. Room services is overpriced and not as high quality as the restaurant in the lobby. The club lounge on the 8th floor was excellent. The fitness center is large and well equiped (better than most Sheratons). The pool and sundeck are smaller but were never crowded (few kids).

My only compaints would be the price for parking ($12/day) which by Erie standards is high, the lack of suites, and the dirt/bugs on the outside of the windows. It would be nice to have cleaner windows to really enjoy the bay view.

I would recommend this hotel over the other top ranked hotels in Erie as its location far exceeds the I-90 truck stop feel of the other hotels. Also the access to the downtown, running trails along the bay, and convention center give guests an extra value.

I hope the management keeps this hotel in top condition as it is truely the only hotel I would stay in while visiting friends and family in Erie.

I found this hotel thru searching different travel sites online. The star rating bounced between 3.5 to 4 stars so it deserved a look. The photos are pretty representational of the hotel with little surprises. We stayed 2 nights as part of our 25th wedding anniversary. The room we had was what was referred to as "obstructed bay view" but the views were still spectacular. No microwave or mini-fridge in our room sadly. Bed was very comfortable and clean. We had lunch at the Cove which is on the other side of the parking garage. Good food decently priced with less than appealing service. I will agree with a few that the spider problem on the hotel exterior is pretty yucky but that's common of near water hotels we've discovered. Skip breakfast at the hotel and drive over to The Breakfast Place on 38th Street it may not look like much but its clean, cheap, and you won't leave hungry. We liked it so much we went two days in a row. Overall; this Sheraton was a great pick. Staff very friendly and rooms nice and quiet. We would stay again no doubt.

This hotel is clean, the people are friendly. We were lucky enough to have been given a view of the bay where you could see Presque Isle across the way. The employees were very nice and accomodating. We didn't like paying $12.00/day to park but all hotels do that anymore. We did feel that the staff could have provided some more information to us. There was nothing in the room either. We wondered about the water taxis over to Presque Isle, the cost, and if they would let you take your bikes. There were also fireworks Sunday night for the last night of Erie Days which no one told us about. The surrounding restaurants were closed Sunday evening. We were starved. The fireworks were over after room service ended but the hotel had no problem taking our order. Thank you!

Room Tip: Ask for the Bay view and a higher floor. We were on the 5th which was great.
