A group of us stayed one night. The rooms are large and each has a fireplace. Rebecca made a great breakfast for us.
Tip: pay attention when Dave explains the damper on the fireplace. I didn`t, and the fire alarm is very loud (and embarrassing).

We recently visited the Historic Smithton Inn for two nights and had a wonderful stay! The Inn itself is warm and cozy, the rooms are spacious and beautiful and the inkeeper, Rebecca, was a wonderful host. We woke up each morning to a delicious, freshly prepared breakfast of fresh fruit, frittata's, sausage, french toast, cereal, yogurt, coffee, tea and juices, all prepared by Rebecca. There are plenty of sites to see in Lancaster County and many great restaurants, bars and even wineries! It is nice to be able to come back to a quiet, cozy room after a busy day of touring the area. I highly recommend the Historic Smithton Inn anytime you are in Lancaster County and will definitely be making my way back there again!

Room Tip: We stayed in the red room which has a very nice view of the backyard/patio area

Went to the Smithton Inn the weekend of March 30 with my wife and three other couples. Everything was perfect, the Innkeepers Dave and Rebecca, were very warm and friendly. Every reccomendation they made was exactly what we were looking for, wether it was going to local wineries, local breweries or out to eat for dinner. We stayed in the Crimson Dove Suite and it was unbelievable. The meals that Rebecca made every morning were delicious, and Dave's home made bread was great for toasting! We highly reccommend the Smithton Inn if you are looking for a Bed and Breakfast Get a way. Can't wait to go back!

Rebecca and Dave are excellent hosts and have a lovely inn. It would be nice if there was less street traffic (it is on the corner of two busy roads), but the new windows keep out most of the street noise. Good breakfasts and lots of good tourist information.

From the moment we got to the Historic Smithton Inn, we were treated like friends! There was a glitch in our reservation, and we were immediately upgraded to the Red Room. The room was actually a large suite with a luxurious bathroom replete with a spa tub. The comfy, king-sized bed gave us several nights of restful, dream-filled sleep. The breakfasts were outstanding! Each morning we looked forward to the scrumptious stuffed french toast, breakfast frittatas, pancakes, eggs, sausage, fresh fruit, and more that accompanied our meal. Most enjoyed was the friendliness of the innkeepers, Rebecca and Dave. We were treated to a personal tour of the many upgrades they have made to the inn, which we found to be fascinating. Any questions or needs we had were addressed immediately. We were delighted with the inn mascot, Lucky, the sweet dog who greeted us quietly each morning at the breakfast table. Everything about the place was positive. This is a great place for a romantic, relaxing retreat while you explore the area. We returned each evening after a day of activity, thrilled to relax and enjoy the many comforts of this inn.

Room Tip: Highly recommend the Red Room. It's a very large room, and traffic noises are minimal here.

We always stay here when in the area, probably three or four times a year, and every time has been a consistently wonderful experience. Rebecca offers a varied and delicious breakfast, Lancaster County has many great restaurants for dinner options, and there is plenty to do in the area, no matter what your interest.

The hospitality of the hosts is second to none, and the accomodations are clean and comfortable. With 18th century ambience and charm, combined with 21st century amenities, if you are in the area, you should definitely visit.

My fiance and I could not have been happier with our stay at the Smithton Inn. From incredibly comfortable beds (I wish I knew what mattress they use - we LOVED it!) to absolutely amazing breakfasts (Rebecca is a STELLAR cook), it was the PERFECT place for us to stay. We stayed for 3 nights - the third night was half-price due to a special promotion - and loved every minute of it. We're considering renting the whole house for our wedding - that's how much we enjoyed our time there! We will definitely return to the Smithton Inn.

Room Tip: If you're a light sleeper, you might want to consider a room away from the road - I was able to...
