There may be a lodge at Lake Raystown Resort, but the place is primarily a campground. We stayed in the Pine cabins in late July and had a great experience. It's big, clean, family-friendly, and located on two peninsulas on the southern side of the lake. From our cabin you could see the lake, and at night everyone at he neighboring cabins made campfires. We rented a boat to explore the lake, went for walks, and drove to Huntingdon one day to rent bikes to ride on the nearby 17-mile Rail to Trail path. There is a restaurant, pizzeria, and convenience store on site, nothing fancy but they have the basics -- which is good because there isn't much retail anywhere nearby.
Someone in a recent review complained about the cabins being too rustic. They said they were paying "4 or 5 star hotel prices" and expected more. I think that if you compare these cabins to the Four Seasons (which I don't think you can get for $150 a night) you will be sorely disappointed. They are log cabins, not hotel rooms. They would be disappointing compared to the Motel 6.
We figured we were paying for the great location and the cabins were just a step up from staying in a tent. So, we thought they were fine, even with the hard foam mattresses and raw-lumber furniture. We were happy to have a working toilet, shower, sink, microwave, and mini fridge, electric light, and an outlet to charge our phones. Don't expect wifi here, though -- it seems to be in the marina/restaurant only, and cell service is spotty too. On the bright side, that might get everyone off of their devices for a couple of days and out into enjoying the great outdoors.
