My wife and I were headed for our cabin for the long July 4th weekend and were thinking McDonalds or the like for breakfast on the fly when we passed the Trolley Stop Diner in Elizabethtown and, on the spur of the moment, pulled in. Glad we did. We had a decent breakfast (she had french toast and I had a western omelet with a side of scrapple - all was good) served by efficient wait staff in timely fashion.
A good "hometown" diner apparently patronized by locals. It was worth the time on the road we gave up by not going "McDonalds". Will stop in again.
