Giacomo's is right up the street from us, and we couldn't be happier about that. We get take out from there at least once a week. My favorites include the eggplant parm sub (one of the best I've ever had) and cheese steak. We usually do a catering order or two a year for special occasions, and always include their sausage, peppers, and onions in our order. Our guests have raved about it in the past. Their meatballs are not as good as deLorenzo's, in my opinion, but they're still pretty awesome. Their red sauce is also outstanding. We also purchase their ravioli to make at home, which are excellent.
The guys and girls at the counter are always so pleasant and nice, even when they are packed (which is often, especially during the lunch rush). The nice men have brought my catering trays to my car for me in the past.
Parking can sometimes be an issue, since there is no lot. Usually it is easy enough to find a space relatively close though. In the past (before we moved to the area) I have driven to Giacomos, but now we just walk the three blocks. If you're looking for a casual, inexpensive, and delicious lunch/early dinner (either eat-in or take out), this place is wonderful!
