“Good beer, but dont waste your time visiting their Brewery!”

We took off from work to visit the brewery on a friday afternoon, take a tour, and taste some good beer. We drove 80 miles to stay overnight at a hotel near by and took a shuttle/taxi so we could drink "responsibly."

Upon arrival we were greeted at the bar by a very buisness like "bar tender."
We were given sample cups the size of a (3oz) dixie mouthwash cup. We were only allowed to taste each of the 12 kinds of beers ONCE! This would be fine if they filled up our cups but they didnt even give us a half of a cup. In reality they gave us 1.5 oz of beer that was mostly foam. This amount was barely enough to get the flavor of the beer. To boot, the beer was warm!!!

We were done tasting in about 20 minutes. When we asked if we could buy some beer from the bar to drink while we waited for the tour, we,were told that they were not allowed to sell us beer from the bar. If we wanted to purchase beer we could buy their packaged goods and take it HOME! . We had 30 minutes to wait for the tour and were left standing there like idiots with NO beer and nothing to do.
The real kicker was all the employees standing drinking at the bar holding FULL PINT glasses of beer being refilled several times! I asked why some people had pint glasses and was told that the "staff" was allowed to drink. I couldnt believe this was how they treated potential customers. So if you like Weyerbacher go to your local beer store and buy it! Dont waste your time going to their brewery! Its cheaper and more fun to stay home!

I've been drinking Weyerbacher brews for a few years now. Always imagined them to be a bigger operation but was surprised by the compact plant they have here. Almost missed the place trying to find it! Very unassuming exterior but a very cool place inside. You have a tasting bar where you can buy package goods, fill growlers, and sample as much as you like. They also sell tshirts and other swag and even used wooden barrels and barrel parts. Very informative tour of the plant and an educational lesson about brewing great and innovative beers. Don't pass this by if you are in Easton!

I went to the Weyerbacher Brewery with two friends as part of our "Girls Day." We had a blast. It's really casual and welcoming. You are encouraged to try as many beers as you'd like. I liked the Pumpkin Ale, Merry Monks, Sour Black and Blithering Idiot the best.

When it's time for the tour, they staff offers you more of your favorite beer and off you go! Our tour guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. They answered all questions and it's clear they love their jobs.

After the tour, you can buy beer by the bottle, growlers or case. They also have t-shirts, hats, etc.

What a gem! I can't wait to go back in a few months and try new brews!

Weyerbacher Brewing Company makes my favorite brews. Blithering Idiot is a rich barley wine with a slight sweetness. Marvelous! They are definitely willing to experiment with traditional beer recipes. They have an excellent Pumpkin Ale at this time of the year. Merry Monks is a wonderful Belgium Style Tripel Ale that is brewed year round. ...Old Heathen is my new favorite Stout.
How do you improve on perfection? ...by aging the best beers in Oak Barrels. Insanity is Blithering Idiot aged in oak barrels and Heresy is Old Heathen aged in oak barrels. The oak barrel adds an interesting blend of flavors layered on top of these great brews!

Don't expect anything fancy at the brewery. These guys make beer and that is enough for now.

Just a pleasant way to spend some time learning about beer and tasting it...the tour guide was interesting, and the tasting was even better!
