We stopped by the bar one winter afternoon and had a few beers, plan on spending $4-$7 per beer. We happened to be back in the area one afternoon on the last weekend of July so we decided to stop in, sit outside, have a couple beers and lunch. Again the views of the Delaware River are great winter or summer, the beer was good (but I think expensive), however the food was absolutely the worst food I ever ate in my life! I can't even describe how terrible it was other than to say we literally threw it away, paid the check and swore to never go back. We had onion rings, french dip and a chicken cheese steak sandwich. The onion rings tasted as if they were left over from two days ago, deep fried a second time, then served to us. The french dip beef was hard, stiff, dry, just disgusting. The chicken cheese steak was crunchy and just awful. Overall the food was so bad it was literally indescribable. During our first trip to the Riverside Bar we met the owner and spoke with him. Seemed like a nice guy so we thought he should know about the product he is selling. We sent him an e-mail the day after our visit but we never received a response or more so an apology. If you're brave enough to go, bring a lot of money if you're only having beer, but don't waste your money on the food, it's the worst.
