“Who Knew ..Food and Atmosphere this good in Easton”
Reviewed October 9, 2012

Great food , great service, great atmosphere..what a find in a small town. This restaurant compares to any big city eatery. We eat here every time we visit our son at Lafayette. Wonderful

“Four (4) Flamingos”
Reviewed October 7, 2012

We are taking a fun approach to describing our experience, in short it was 4-Flamingo great!
The atmosphere, cozy, comfortable, open, we felt we were an invited guest in someone's home. Service was delivered in a beautiful balance of friendly, warm with professionalism. Our starter; lump crab and artichoke with thin slices of cuccumber and carrot with a bit of radish was very good. Light and fresh was plenty for two and in a pinch three people. The roasted duck over wild rice, brussel sprouts, butternut squash, topped with spiced cranbarries was also very good. The spiced cranbarries was a slight over powering. The portion was plenty. The prime rib was prepared perfectly over delicious mashed patotoes and asparagus. The portion was super huge. Now the price, given the portions we would say it is more than fair. Make sure you bring your own BYOB! We highly recommend you take the time to spend an evening at Megs and Mads.

“Creative, Well-executed Food and Great Service”
Reviewed September 19, 2012

We moved to College Hill/Easton about 10 months ago, got around to trying Megs and Mads recently. A friend recommended it, and I'm so glad we tried it, what a find! This is an unassuming little neighborhood place with excellent food and service. There is a front and back dining room, both are very small. The back dining room has a view of the open kitchen of the restaurant. It is also BYO.

We started with the lump crab and avocado salad with fried wontons and a delicious sauce/vinaigrette that I cannot recall. It was amazing. The flavors blended so well together. We also had the beet salad to start, which was excellent as well.

We had the short ribs and the duck for entrees. They were both well prepared and well-executed dishes. The flavors melded together nicely in both of them. I am usually not a fan of grits, but these were so flavorful. My husband's duck was a perfect medium rare, as he had requested.

We were so full, but we split the cheesecake anyway. It was so good. They make all of the desserts on premises. I am looking forward to trying their pasta bolognese and espresso creme brulee next time. And the next time will be very soon! We feel so lucky to have this place so close!

“We will return!”
Reviewed September 16, 2012

Greeting, appetizers, entrees, through dessert - this place does them all fantastic! Don't miss the lump crab/avocado salad appetizer. The strip steak dinner special was cooked just right and so flavorful! We will return to experience more of the great customer service and food!
