Theatre is well maintained and kept in great shape- excellent seating. We have attended concerts here quite often over the last year, and will continue to come. Used to go to the Keswick, no more.

As is typical of local theatre, there are pros and cons. This particular venue is in very good condition and that is not always the case. Plus, it's small, so there really are no bad seats in the house. Unfortunately, due to size, it is also difficult to get very good seats unless you are a theater patron or event sponsor. So, if you can be happy with whatever seats happen to be available, then you'll have a good experience at State Theatre.

Side Note: Easton seems to still be carrying a bit of a bad reputation that is no longer deserved. If you have a concern and pause to consider whether or not to attend, know that the police station is in the next block (right where the parking garage is) and, if you prefer not to walk back and forth, a free shuttle runs between them before and after every show. Add in the presence of video surveillance and block watch groups and we did not hesitate to walk back to our vehicle at 9:30 pm on a quiet evening.

Balcony seating is very cramped. The quality of production is so erratic because it's entirely devoted to traveling companies. On any given night, you don't know whether you'll be singing the tunes or bad-mouthing the laziness/unpreparedness/sickness of the headliner. Too much money to chance the latter.

State Theatre has some big names for a not so big price and it's local, too! We have seen some local productions and some big names and the value for the money is great.
