“Fun eclectic afternoon”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2013

As stated by others, an amazing grouping of just about anything you would expect to have seen in years gone-by in Bucks County. Great with kids, lots of steps, so much to see. The building alone is worth the trip. Nearby is Fonthill, Mercer's home and the Moravian Tile Works, all worth a visit.

“a most amazing structure . both inside and out”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2013

totally built of concrete. by Dr.Henry Mercer, a colorful character.. it is a unique building for its architecture and inside it houses all early implements used from the early days.. it even shows a small cobbler shop, a tool shop.. nothing quite like it anywhere else..

“Mercer Museum”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2013

This is a very unusual museum in that it houses numerous collections of historical American crafts. The building is unique in that it was hand-made of stone and concrete. This is a good place to come with children and explore American history.

“Great for older elementary aged kids”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 4, 2013

I was completely fascinated by this collection, but the first time we visited, my youngest was bored. We went back again a few years later, and he was much more engaged, having learned some American history in school.

Adults will enjoy visiting the Mercer Museum in tandem with Fonthill. Grab lunch in one of the many cafes in town, and you'll have a great day in Doylestown!
