“Great Hotel For A Family!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 1, 2014

Rooms are nice, Breakfast is a step above compared to other choice hotels. They have a Bar at night. Nice swimming pool, lounge chairs. If you want to grill a steak, hamburger, hot dogs in the evening time they have a couple of grills just buy your coal. They have plenty of picnic tables covered with fans. Great place to eat your pizza. Internet Computer and Printer in lobby area. Had no problem using my laptop in the room. No Ice machine on our side but the hotel clerk will fill the bucket for you or you can walk to the other side to get Ice. Eating at Shady maple a few times this last week I needed to walk for ice. Outside the front entrance they have nice Iron tables and chairs. Manager very friendly we liked the male clerk Edmund he did a GREAT job at the front desk. Stay here you will not be disappointed. On fridays you can go to the GREEN DRAGON. Only a couple of miles from hotel. Fresh fruit, food everything Amish for sale, free parking, walk around the market. Almost forgot they make great cookies at the hotel your kids will love it here! YOU WILL TOO!

Room Tip: Try to stay away from the entrance side doors.

We stayed here for a soccer tournament. The breakfast was very good. A very nice, large area to eat and then in the evening the room opens as a bar. It was a nice place to hang out with our other friends who joined us. Our first room had a very bad smell, but the staff was very kind and moved our room for us. It appears that they may be remodeling the rooms. Not sure if our room was remodeled or not. It had a very low countertop in the bathroom. Nice sitting area outside the hotel as well where the kids played cards in the evening. The hotel was in walking distance to a gas station which was nice to be able to walk to to get drinks and snacks.

This hotel was very friendly and clean. There is also a internet area and seating in the lobby area. In the front of the hotel outdoors by the entrance to the lobby they have a lovely large sitting area under roof but open to the outdoors for relaxing. Large iron tables and chairs are plentiful. The room was pleasing and large. The bed was very nice and such soft sheets, nice comforter under the bedspread also. The bathroom was large (handicap accessible room) and included a good hair dryer that really worked. They are renovating the rooms to make them more comfy but we didn't hear much noise from the workers. Our room was very nice and had a arm chair, large desk with FREE wifi and a good reading lamp and a nice large flat screen tv. The staff was friendly and helpful too. There is a large picnic area in the rear of the hotel and a huge outdoor pool for the hot afternoons. They have a small dining room with a bar for drinks in the evening. FREE Hot self serve breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We enjoyed our stay and will return again. Thank you Comfort Inn.

Room Tip: This is a 2 floor hotel and I don't think there is an elevator. They have handicap rooms that ar...

We received exemplary help along with the Director of Sales along with her staff of Comfort Inn in preparation, our arrival and our departure. I am so grateful about the hospitality that was shown towards Concord Church. To arrive to see our name on your sign was special and a sure welcome to us. Conversing with Edmund on the telephone giving us directions was great. How organized you were with preparations in having the list of names with the room numbers by each one along with all the keys set. You and your staff indeed went beyond making reservations for Concord for dinner at Cracker Barrel then printed out the directions so our bus driver would not get lost. Cannot recall the staff member name that did this; however, great job. Rochelle and your team care about your customers. You all did a great job and I wanted to let you know how impress I was too. I will recommend your Hotel to others in North Carolina.
Thank You again with your stellar services. Danette

This hotel was very convenient to the famous "Antique Mile" of various antique shops. Perfect location to return to after walking and looking at antiques and collectibles all day. All other motels in the area are old, old, old with outside halls so if you are looking for security they will be a problem. A covered outside area with wrought iron tables and chairs and fountain offers a nice relaxing area. Delicious cookies baked daily are also a nice touch. There is even a small bar located in the breakfast area. The large breakfast area is one of the nicest I have seen in Choice Hotels. The offering of waffles, bacon (mounds of it in the steamer!), hard cooked and scrambled eggs, bananas, apples, oatmeal, donuts, Danish, English muffins, three cereals with whole & 2% milk was great. Coffee was not good...tasted like instant but the orange and apple juices were cold and delicious. This hotel is under renovation and soon the short vanities in the bathrooms will be gone. Room was clean and air conditioner worked very well. Pillows.....A++++. Ask for an updated room (if they are now available) like we will do when we return this fall. Dog friendly with nice back green area. We will return and stay here again.

Room Tip: Has two floors but does have elevator.

My sister, niece and I spent a Saturday night at this Comfort Inn. This hotel is situated at the intersection of very busy roads, so there was quite a bit of traffic. We had two rooms, which were comparable, although mine was a little bigger because I had one bed and my sister and niece had two.

The front desk staff were efficient and friendly. Check-in and -out was a breeze.

The beds were comfortable, with a choice of several pillows. The carpet looked new and the room was clean. Wifi worked well in my room and I had a good cell phone signal. We enjoyed a drink at the bar with a very friendly bartender. The breakfast was the typical Comfort Inn breakfast, although the eggs were much better than I'd had the previous weekend at another Comfort Inn. There was coffee available at all times, and it was very good. The breakfast area is large and kept clean.

There is an area outside the front door with tables and chairs where we spent some time, although it is on a noisy street and there is a convenience store/gas station directly across the road.

Unfortunately, the lighting in the bathroom was horrendous. Even worse, the hallway lighting was almost non-existent. I know hotels are trying to use the new light bulbs to cut down on energy, but it was almost impossible to see how to insert my card key correctly. The bathroom was awkwardly laid out and the sink was practically at knee height. But it was clean and had plenty of towels.

Every hotel has doors that SLAM (and I make note of that in almost every hotel review!), so the only real quiet time was between midnight and 6 AM. I use the HVAC system to try to drown out road noise and hallway noise.

The location was convenient to visiting the antique stores in Adamstown. There are several restaurants in the area. I thought the price I paid was fair. I would stay here again.

Room Tip: The rooms on the back of the hotel (odd numbers) are away from the road and should be quieter.
