Description: Old Forge Brewing Company is a fun, casual, comfortable brewpub specializing in healthy pub fare and fresh brewed beer. Our country was built on the skills and labor of old-world artisanal craftsmen. Woodworkers, carpenters, stonemasons, ironworkers, blacksmiths, tileworkers, and many others came here and employed the knowledge and skills of their craft in building their farms, homes, and towns.Nowadays, it is so easy and convenient to purchase generic products from big-box stores, that we sometimes neglect to appreciate the uniqueness and quality of a hand-crafted product. At Old Forge Brewing Company, we strive to honor personal craftsmanship. Our hand-crafted beer is made in small batches to ensure quality and peak freshness, while the healthy and delicious menu has ingredients sourced from local farms and markets wherever possible. Take the time to notice our bar, furniture, and fixtures which were all handcrafted by local wood and metal worker Keith Kocher (Lightstreet Custom Woodworking). Check out our unique tap handles carved and forged by local artist/sculptor J. Mark Irwin (Irwin Sculpture Studio), and our plates, bowls, and beer mugs, all hand-made by local potter Mike Hart (M. Hart Pottery). We welcome you to stop by and visit us on Mill Street in downtown Danville. Have a bite to eat, sip a fresh pint of beer, and enjoy the friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Leave your troubles on the doorstep and let us take care of the rest.

Hang out have a couple great beers and a sandwich. The atmosphere is organic. You'll always have a friend at the bar.

“A Pub for All Occasions”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

Always crisp, comfortable and welcoming, great place to relax with friends or to bring the family. Great staff - so friendly. Booths and tables on two levels, one small bar on each level, neat outdoor seating on 2nd level. Huge windows overlook historic Mill St. The Mug Club benes are frequent and fun.The Purist Burger with goat cheese on a pretzel roll is without peer. Lots of interesting pub fare on the menu changes with seasons. And of course, great, fresh, cold brews!

“Great menu and even better beer.”
Reviewed November 21, 2012

This four year old brew pub is a great find in Danville, PA. Right on the main street of town about the only thing they do wrong is let you know where it is (Hint: it's located next to a Goodwill Thrift Store.) The OfBc has a great selection of beer from Blonde to Bitter to Stout - sorry, no light beer here. Because they brew in small quantities it is always fresh and tasty. I had a Stout and a Bitter on this trip and my wife opted for the Blonde, although she really enjoyed sipping my bitter. They have eight beers on tap and have about 20-24 styles that they rotate so there is always something new to try.

To the menu. Being veggie-tarians eating out can be a challenge, but OfBc has probably 8-10 vegetarian choices, not including any of their burgers that can be made using portabello mushrooms. I had a Portabello burger with red peppers and my wife had a Rautaulla (sp) sandwich - both were tasty. Each was served with corn chip that had a side of dipping sauce (nice touch).

If you like craft beer and pub fare the OfBc is well worth the stop.

“Our favorite restaurant in Danville, heck.. in the whole Susquehanna Valley.”
Reviewed November 15, 2012

Everything about this place is wonderful - the food, the handcrafted beer, the local wine, the atmosphere. It's our go-to place for special days, visiting out-of-town guests and whenever we need a beer cheese/pretzel fix. They have the best hamburgers I've ever tasted. They also are very family friendly. Our 5 year old son loves their tool sculptures, homemade root beer and grilled cheese. Their beautiful bars serve their handcrafted beers and sodas, and local wines. If you only like mixers then you'll have to stop somewhere else after your wonderful meal. I can't say enough great things about the OFBC.
